Hampton Inn By Hilton — Hotel in Zacatecas

We've been staying at this Hampton Inn 4 times a year for 4-5 years. Back when it was newer, we liked it. Now, there is deferred maintenance; there are thin, worn out towels; in a room with 2 beds, there are 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and zero wash cloths. In a room that can sleep 4, there is 1 plastic coffee cup and 1 regular coffee pack for their pitiful single cup coffee maker. What are the other 3 people supposed to drink or dry off with? In addition, plastic for any hot beverage is dangerous. Oh, the cheap cup sleeve is far too big the plastic coffee cup. The room has one small bottle of shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion. The mattress is hard and the room is small. We are Gold members and were not welcomed as such nor were we given our customary Gold member perks. Clearly there is no brand pride reflected by the manager, everything is just cheap. This hotel is NOT up to Hilton standards and shame on Hilton for continuing to include this mediocre hotel in their prestigious brand. This stay has made my attitude sour so in our future travels through Zacatecas, we will try the Fiesta Inn or City Express next door or travel to Fresnillo and stay again at the brand new IHG Avid hotel.

5/2/22 follow-up review: We just returned from Zacatecas and stayed at City Express on the way up and Fiesta Inn on the way back. What a strange coincidence that someone at the Zacatecas Hampton Inn commented about my initial review during this time....5 MONTHS LATER. Sorry, nope, we're sticking with the Zacatecas Fiesta Inn from now on and will continue to happily slumber at the lovely Hilton Garden Inn in Chihuahua, too. This is a very plain hotel . Standard room . Could have been cleaner . Good room card security. Saw no outside security . Parking was open to the street , but I had no issues . There is a gas station in front with snacks . Nothing else nearby. The breakfast was not fresh and limited selection . For the two nights I was there I had just the toast and coffee . The shuttle was on site but not available in the AM. Taxi to town 80nps . Staff was freindly . Fiesta and city hotels next door looked better . Next visit I will try the Baruck hotels .
