Terelj Star Resort — Hotel in Ulaanbaatar

Stayed 3 nights over there and had to figure out which cubicles have hot water and which do not. Shower facilities are located at the main hall only and the toilets are only partitioned at both the hall and among the gers. For individual toilet and shower facilities you may enquire on their deluxe gers.

Food is good and reasonably priced but maybe we had too many nights of the same food. Other then that, the overall stay was marvellous.

We tried a few of their in-house activities and the staff was very accommodating. Kudos to the manager and staff for their excellent services rendered.

Location wise, you could not ask for a better location with gers elevated on the slope of the mountain neatly positioned in formation and the mountain behind us for a good trekking trail. Trekking behind the resort along the ridges are a fine way to be in touch with Mother Nature. Bring a flask of hot tea and some snacks and enjoy at rest stops along the hike. Do remember to bring trash back to resort.

We booked for one night, fell in love, and I got super sick (cold/fever) so booked another night - the staff were very accommodating and super patient as we decided btw late check out and booking second night. We also eat mostl vegetarian so they were so kind as to adjust the menu. First they kindly took out the meat, then they made fully vegan soup and vegetarian breakfasts.

We had the deluxe ger which comes with built-in bathroom and shower. We managed fo take a quick walk around and if I was feeling better we’d have done a little day hike.

Wish I had extra stars for this place bc the manager ended up giving me his personal medical line stash - Vit C and strepsil. So very thoughtful considering how far we were from nearest pharmacy.

This was definitely a gem found in a paradise 😊 I spend total of 4 nights away from the buzzing city where I came from.

Local tour could be arrange directly from the hotel counter. The hotel manager personally came and bought us for archery 🏹 , horse riding 🐴, nomadic family visit ⛺️ and a visit to a museum.

They even have a hiking trail located behind the resort! The view was so scenic 🧗🏻

Food served in their restaurant was such a yum . Breakfast was served individually and cooked after you ordered. I had a certain limitation on food and they were able to cook according to my preference 🌽🥕🍧🥧🍱

The sky in the night was absolutely beautiful filled with stars 🌟 you can’t be wrong having a few glasses of wine 🍷 outside the ger on such a starry night. Even having a cup of coffee under the sun outside the ger was...
