Very comfortable rooms with excellent decor and nice pool (a little on the cool side in May).||Staff friendly and helpful and the food was good. They do serve alcoholic beverages including wine but be prepared that the cheapest bottle of wine is about £28 (probably standard in a hotel).||Amizmiz itself is busy village about 15-20 minutes walk from Maroc Lodge.||It has a pharmacy, grocery stores and food stalls amidst the many moped repair and hardware shops. The people were very friendly and on our visits we were the only Europeans there. We were not pestered in any way (unlike Marrakesh).||||We went on a couple of half day walks in the Atlas foothills with an excellent lady guide, Latifa who can be contacted via the hotel.||Latifa speaks excellent English. She seemed to know everyone up in the hills and we were invited into traditional Berber homes in the villages we passed through. She can take you further afield up in the mountains...
Read moreThis is an absolute hidden paradise. It is by no means a 3 star lodge. The service goes beyond what a 5 star can ever offer you. Beautiful foliage and flora, impeccable villas, an infinity pool overlooking the atlas mountain, and the serene sound of nature. The manager, Bruno, is super friendly. The villa interiors are a work of art. French decor, a full fledge fireplace, and a chandelier to match ! We received a complimentary upgraded to a bigger villa which was a nice surprise. The chef is brilliant. Never has the humble potato and chicken tasted better. Dinner under the moonlight and a bonfire too!! I cannot recommend this place enough. After what this town has gone thorough in September, the least we can do is to come to amizmiz and support the local community. We booked one night and regret not staying longer. Don’t think twice! Come and see for yourself! Easily the best experience in...
Read moreThis is a gem. By far the best resort we stayed in in Morocco. The bungalows are very spacious with a nice double bed. Also good wifi. The food is the best we had and prepared fresh. Because it was a bit cold in the evening we could eat indoors next to the fireplace. Even in Ramadan it was no problem at all to provide food for us. The garden is very lush and the most beautifull garden i have ever seen. Lots of trees, flowers and scents everywhere. Little brooks run through the premises and the view from the swimming pool is amazing. The pool was still very cold though at the beginning of april, but we managed to take a refreshing dip anywhere. The owners are very kind, everything is taken care of. Go here, even though there was a massive earthquake 6 months ago, it is still a must go...
