Very moldy hotel. I highly recommend you do not stay here. We had a large group with 5 different rooms and all the rooms had varying degrees of damp and mold. Our air vent was absolutely covered in black mold and when we turned the air on the whole room smelled like mold. We immediately went to the front desk and showed them a photo of it and they brushed it off and seemed unbothered. We insisted it was an issue and they eventually agreed they could wipe it off with a cloth. We told them that we would not feel very comfortable staying in a room which this much mold and at that point they got very dismissive and a bit unhappy with us. They assured us that another room would be the same. If they wipe the mold off it “will be back in one week”. The people working the reception were not very helpful and pretty rude. There was mold on all the air vents, all the shower heads, and coming through the ceilings and walls. The rooms smell damp and it may be a serious issue for people with health/breathing conditions. On top of that, the breakfast was not so great and the room was pretty noisy at night.

Hotel Club Val d’Anfa has an interesting vibe with a great location—just a short walk to the sea and close to many nice cafés and bars. The rooms, however, are a mixed bag. The older wing is quite run-down and not recommended, while the newer wing offers more comfortable and updated accommodations. The restaurant staff were very kind and humble, providing excellent service. Unfortunately, the reception experience was disappointing—particularly with two female staff members who were quite arrogant and unhelpful. Overall, the hotel has potential due to its location, but the service and room quality vary significantly depending on where you're placed.

This hotel might have deserved four stars years ago, in its heyday. The air is damp, the rooms dark and gloomy, the hallway floor undulating. The air conditioning unit is covered in plaster, water dripped down the lamp and flooded the balcony. The staff sometimes emptied the trash cans, other times they didn't. We overlooked a busy and dirty street, which ends at a truly littered beach, into which sewage flows. The restaurant offers alcohol at average prices for Morocco, which is a definite plus for the hotel. Unfortunately, breakfast isn't very tasty – despite the large selection, the food (juices and fruit) can be stale.

Perfectly located beside the public beach where you can walk for miles in the sand or on the elevated boardwalk. The staff here is very nice and works hard. They keep the hotel, which is dated as it was built in the 80s and last renovated in the 90s, very clean. They literally move all the furniture to clean the floors and remove all cushions in furniture to clean.||I would recommend getting an ocean view room on the 4th floor (which is the top floor) if you can. Great view of the ocean at all times of day. We had lovely cleaning staff on the fourth floor as well. Amina and Zinebyy did a great job cleaning our room and were very sweet and helpful while we were there. 5 stars for them!||We had no problems with noise or sleeping. I'm not sure if that's because what looks like a nightclub nearby was closed/under renovation. But the hotel has heavy double doors on every balcony which serve to keep the sun out and the noise as well.||We did not have breakfast at the hotel. It's 120 Dirhams per day. It's mostly carbs and pastries. There are eggs available and some fruit, cottage cheese, olives and the like.||The only coffee available is nescafe instant pouches in your room or coffee that you can order at the hotel restaurant. You can order a coffee for 30 Dirhams and not get the breakfast, which is what we did. BUT we also ventured outside the hotel for coffee. If you are willing to wait until about 8am, there is a cafe just outside the hotel called Suzette where you can get coffee for 25 Dirhams. And at 730am, a very pretty dessert place half a block away called Maymana makes coffee. You may want to sit and order a pastry or other Moroccan cookies there as they have a very nice front patio area.||For our first week there, pool chaises were in high demand. We were downstairs by 7am to put a bag or hat on a chair to "hold" it until we were ready. Technically, we were told the pool area doesn't open until 10am but many were there earlier than that. In our second week (last week of August), chaises were available throughout the day so not sure if we were just there at a busy time. The man who works at the pool works hard. He's there 7 days a week for 7 months for at least 12 hours a day.||If you're wondering if you should bring a hair dryer, the hotel does provide one, but it is attached to the wall and you have to squeeze it with your hands to keep it working. It did the job but it was irritating.||The hotel is generous with toiletries including shampoo and body gel, little soaps and they also give q-tips. The shampoo and body gel is heavily perfumed so if you think that will bother you, bring your own.||The rooms are not equipped with close up mirrors for tweezing eyebrows and such so bring your own.||The rooms do have a closet but with very few hangers - perhaps 6. The other furniture including the TV table and side tables do not have drawers so not the best for storage. ||Our room did have a mini-fridge.||The hotel provides two 500 mL bottles of water per day to each room.||There are definitely nicer hotels in Casablanca, but they are in the city centre. This one was right on the beach and that was the selling point for us.||Whenever we needed to go anywhere far, we had hotel staff help us flag down a red taxi to get to where we needed. That's a whole other post in terms of red...

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Hotel Club Val D’Anfa, Casablanca My recent stay at Hotel Club Val D’Anfa in Casablanca, Morocco, was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can confidently say it stands out among my extensive global travel experiences. Having journeyed all over the world and stayed in countless hotels, I can attest that my family and I had an absolutely great experience here.

From the moment we arrived, the amazing staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Their attentiveness was remarkable, anticipating our needs and always ready to assist with a warm smile. This dedication to great service was consistent throughout our stay, making every interaction a pleasure.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's perfectly situated close to a plethora of restaurants, vibrant clubs, and exciting activities, allowing us to easily explore the best of Casablanca. What truly elevates its appeal is its proximity to the beach, offering refreshing sea breezes and easy access to the beautiful coastline.

What truly sets Hotel Club Val D’Anfa apart is their unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. The team consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate requests, no matter how big or small. This level of personalized care made us feel truly valued. A special mention must go to the bell boy, who was extremely helpful with our luggage and provided valuable local insights.

Finally, I must commend Ahmad, the manager. His dedication to ensuring our comfort and happiness was evident throughout our stay. He personally made sure we had the best experience possible, a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellence.

Hotel Club Val D’Anfa offers a truly memorable and delightful stay, combining exceptional service with a prime location. I highly recommend it to anyone...

As soon as I entered the room and went to take off my shoes by sitting on the chair, I called downstairs. The chair had semen on it. They came and replaced the chair. When there was no follow up or concern from management about the chair, I didn't bother to tell them about the long black hair in the shower or its slimy floor because I saw it as a lack of professionalism and that they didn't care. ||As far as the shower, I didn't know until the night (before bed) about it's uncleanliness so I wore my flip flops and my husband rinsed the floors of it. Since management wasn't concerned about the chair, we felt they wouldn't care about the shower either. ||Our travel agency spoke with management and they said they were going to do something for us. They did nothing and never followed up with us and they lied to the Travel Agency and said that they did. Upon speaking with management on our departure, they only offered to speak to the housekeeping staff, but showed no interest in making it right for us. I am disappointed in their lack of professionalism to do anything after I immediately called in regard to the chair. The management should have stepped up right away after that chair was sent to be replaced and the management did nothing, not even a call to us. It is not my job to nag them into 5 star service for 5...
