Amazing hotel on the top of a hill in the incredible town of Boumalne. The view across the town and surrounding valley is incredible, particularly when the call to prayer echoes up from the mosques in the evening.
We stayed as part of a multi-day tour, I don't think we would have known about this hotel or even been able to get there by ourselves. The road up is un-paved and winding, so once you get to the hotel you pretty much stay there, which is not an issue as it's so beautiful.
The rooms are incredibly spacious and beautifully furnished with traditional Moroccan lamps and tiles.
Dinner was great, as vegetarians we were served pumpkin soup, vegetable tajine and chocolate crepes. Breakfast buffet was cakes, crepes, olives and cheese.
The only small thing was the shower water didn't really ever get hot, but the hotel is in a small town and may be solar powered so it's...
Read moreThis hotel is high on a hill and has a beautiful view of the town and mountains. There is a swimming pool and an adjacent restaurant. Unfortunately, we were here when it snowed, so we did not get to enjoy the surrounding area too much. However, we were stuck at the hotel due to the snowstorm. The staff were great and took care of the guests. We were allowed to stay in our rooms until the roads cleared. They provided us with fruits, mint tea, olives, and bread while we waited a few hours for the plows to clear the hilly roads. The food (dinner and breakfast) were fine. Seems like some sort of Moroccan fusion dishes were served. The rooms are spacious. We got to the hotel very late at night and they stayed up to provide us with dinner. Also, they helped fix the water in our bathroom late at night when the hot water was not working. Good wifi. Wonderful, English...
Read moreWe stayed here to break our drive from the Sahara to Marrakech. What a lovely place! Located on a hill, this hotel, done in a riad style, has fantastic views of the little village below. You enter a front courtyard filled with trees and shrubs, which then leads to the entrance. The center courtyard inside is pretty. We reached in time for a lovely sunset from the swimming pool area. |The room itself was quite small, as was the bathroom. But everything was clean and comfortable. We had a problem with the bathroom lock but the staff - Mohammed, Zaeed and (I didn’t get his name) - were super attentive and got the problem resolved. |The best thing about this place was the food - the dinner and breakfast...
