Hotel to de stress, a definite must do! Have just spent five days at this hotel. Arrived full of lifes stresses and left like a new woman. The owners are very perceptive to needs and nothing is too much for them, within their means. Stupendous night skies, not blighted with light. Great trekking and hiking with the manager Idriss whose knowledge about his surroundings is impressive. I would higly recommend this place to all. Breakfasts are served either in the restaurant, which is decked out in the Berbere style, comfortable and clean. the bedrooms have all you need down to a hairdryer, the bed are warm and comfortable and you can drift off to sleep listening to the birds sing. Yes, they sing all night......slightly confusing but another treat! the place is spotless and the people are exceptionally friendly, always smiling and helpful. There are beautiful shower washes left in the rooms for your use also, with the aromas of Morocco floating through them. The chefs chicken skewers are yummy and the food is fresh and not tainted with atrificial flavourings. I was introduce to green tea with wild mountain thyme by Idriss and it was refreshing as was his sense of humour. If you are looking for somewhere to totally unwind then I would highly recommend you pay this place a visit. Stunning view of the lowest point of the Dadas gorge, which is splendid in itself. First sight takes your breath away. Well appointed camping site with showers, toilets and washing machine facilites, all spotless. Safe for the solo traveller, with buses that will take you to the local town of Boumaine.....hope I spelt that right! They are very cheap to use, it costs 60 mad to go and take about half an hour, back through the Dadas gorge, a definite must see. Tucked away next to the river and the Gorge, you will be missing out if you don't give this Hotel and its glorious surroundings a try. No TVs, no noise and no hassle. I would definetly love to see the place again. A definite must do. Put it on your bucket list! You won't have to worry about speaking French or Moroccan as there is a fine English speaker there to help...

Reading people's reviews on here does make you realise how many unusual people there are out there, many of whom channel there unusual nature on forums such as this. There is the below review which claims that "all there was to do in the evening was to read a book" (you're high in the moroccan mountains, what do you want a funfair?), or the classic "we went on a walk but expected more interaction with the local people" (how is this related to the hotel in the slightest?), and my favourite "would be nicer in good weather" (what, I ask, wouldn't?). For anyone normal, this is a very comfortable and well furnished hotel in a gorgeous location right on the river in the gorge, there are very friendly staff and nice well prepared homely moroccan food. Would...

We went to see Dades Gorge and stopped in at this beautiful hotel for a coffee in the restaurant. We were so welcomed! The dining room was quintessential Berber and it was the best cup of coffee I had in Morocco. I would have liked to have stayed for a dinner but our time did not allow it. We did however, wander around the grounds which were beautiful and around the back there was a huge garden with a vast variety of fruit trees with the gorge water running along side it. Cozy little spots to sit and enjoy the tranquillity. The dining room, grounds and bathrooms were very clean which is a good indicator that the rest of the property must be as well. If you are in Dades Gorge, I would recommend a stop here, even just...

Magical stay in the Gorge du Dades. The hotel is located in a magical location right in the heart of the mountain with a spectacular view. The place is very cozy and ideal for a quiet yet adventurous stay. We did a 3-hour hike with our local guide Idriss who took us to see some caves of the Berber nomads, explained local fauna and flora, as well as explained many curiosities about the place and its peoples. After we came back he cuddled us with some of the best authentic food we tasted during our entire trip around Morocco, consumed in a lovely dining area with a fireplace! We surely want to come back to this place for a proper longer holiday, one night left us craving for more!!

This is a unique place in a gorge. The mountains really come at you. The hotel is nice, but is not not luxury. The Wi-Fi lacks fidelity. The used LED lighting is not good for reading books, etc. The grilled turkey brochettes were very nice. Note that you can book a hike with a guide through the mountains. We booked the morning 9:00 and it was great, lasted 3 hours, and closed off with tea at a Berber house. The people are friendly and really think about the future will bring them. This hike does require a certain level of condition. You go through fields, slippery sections near irrigations, up and down the slopes.
