If you are planning to stay in the Dades-Thodra region, we would strongly recommend this place as a staying-adress. ||After a warm welcome by Youssef and his wife Ikram, we were shown to our room. It was very clean, and nicely decorated with 'warm colours'. The little bathroom had a very clean tadelakt-douche-part, the shower giving hot water, as you like it!||We found the matras a little too hard, but I guess that's a personal opinion. Although our room was on the front of the house on the first floor, there was absolutely no noise of any traffic at night.||As we choose the half-pension formula (250 dh per person/a day (prices season 2018), Youssef and Ikram provided us every evening with really delicious meals. We had fresh soup every evening, usually followed by mixed plates with grilled meat sticks, vegetables, briouattes, rise or pasta, decorated with prunes and mixed nuts! Really amazing (and also a relief after many days of only tagines). As dessert we had fresh fruit parts (strawberry, kiwi, melon...) with pudding or cake. Tea and coffee were served with hand-made chocolats.||Breakfast included different kinds of bread, pancakes and cake with marmelades, cheese, honey, yoghourt and fresh fruit again!||Youssef, being a house constructor in real life, is also a mountain guide. On our request, he took us on a 5-6 hour walk in the mountains nearby, which we wll never forget! We visited real nomad people and drank tea in their modest cave (a few photo's were allowed). We went into spêctacular gorges, where most tourists never come. Great experience!! (400 dh/price season 2018)||Youssefs' brother, Mohammed, has a little shop, next to the guesthouse. There you can buy jewelry, carpets, spices, antiquities or tea-sets at cheap rices. The prices are also indicated there, so you won't have to ask for the prices all the time!||You can also just watch there...||So, if you are not looking for a 5 star-hotel with swimming pool, but for an authentic guesthouse, not expensive, with nice people and delicious meals, we can recommend you absolutely this adress: Les 4 saisons de Dades!||Ann en...
Read moreThis is my favorite hotel in Morroco, and we stayed in Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga, Marrakesh, Rabat, and Tangiers. We arrived late, but our host still cooked us a meal (pictured); it was delicious! He didn't have to, as dinner wasn't included in the reservation. Breakfast was included, and was amazing! Sorry, no pictures; forgot, and by the time I remembered, everything was gone. We had two rooms, one on the main level (double), and a single on second floor; meals served on lower level. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There's lots of hot water. Climate control in each room. There are good views from the rooftop, and the courtyard is great for relaxing. Unlike most of the places we stayed overnight, you can pay by credit card through your reservation, just a small cash tax. And this was also the most affordable of the places we stayed. Wifi was good. If you're going to Dades Gorge, definitely stay here! The owner/manager built the hotel himself, and has been in business for 14 years; super courteous, and speaks...
Read moreIf you find yourselves nearby, do not miss the chance, book a room at Les 4 Season Du Dades and you won't regret it!!! We only spent one night there, but we should have stayed at least 2 or 3 nights beacause there are so many things to see in the area. Youssef is THE BEST host and guide. Despite the late of our arrival, he waited for us to make sure we have everything we need. The room was very clean and the decoration warm and traditional. The terrace on the upper floor has the best view of the rocky cliff and the nightsky. The breakfast included homemade ingredients and a little something from his garden. We also toured by foot in the nearby valley and village, with Youssef as our guide. Until next time we meet, thank you for...
