The only negative aspect I can think of is the fact that we only spent one night at Marina Smir Hotel. It is by far the most charming and welcoming hotel we have visited during our stay in Morocco.||||We arrived at the hotel on 19th April 2019, right in time for dinner. The food was excellent and the staff ready to help, waiting for us to settle down and enjoy our evening.||||We had a very positive experience at the Marina Smir Hotel. It is set right on the beach, with a great Mediterranean view from the room balcony... just that makes for a wonderful stay. The location is also a few steps from the marina and promenade of restaurants which one can access directly from the hotel gardens, guarded 24/7 so avoid random people entering the premises.||||The room was clean and well maintained, although all in all the hotel does need some upgrade and refurbishment, as there is so much potential in it. Service was good but slow at times. We went for a walk by the marina in the evening and on our return we sat down at the outside terrace of the bar. We ordered the traditional Moroccan mint tea... half an hour waiting and never came!||||The architecture of this hotel provides a magical sensation, a superb example of Moorish Andalusian finishings. Marina Smir Hotel is located not far from the towns of Tetouan and Ceuta, and is housed within beautiful gardens, offering serene spirituality and helping to make it a peaceful place to relax and rest. Fully...

Read moreWe used to come to this hotel in the past, and actually have a pleasant stay. This year was a total shock: ||1- Dirty rooms, especially the bathroom (repulsive smells & else). ||2- two cockroaches in the shower||3- bad quality music at night keeping us up (the room they gave us was in the ground floor, so we could hear everything. ||4- we asked for a change of room the next morning; a request to which the person in charge responded positively and YET, nothing happened. ||5- while lying down in bed after a nap, we are horrified to find strangers in our room (the person in charge of taking a family in their room brought them to ours, did not knock & did not apologize late on; leaving us in complete disbelief. ||6- broken phone ||7- bad food||8- the beach in front of a hotel is one of the dirtiest Ive ever seen. || The list is long, but this hotel deserves a 0 star & should closed Until they improve the situation. ||The views are nice, which is too bad because with all these issues, you just...
