Overall impression: We are stayed and Maison Darna for three nights (we are two ladies around fifty years old) and felt at home immediately. ||||Transfer from Airport: The good thing was also, that we could already with the booking of the accommocation get a direct taxi transfer from Agadir Airport. The cost for the transfer was extremly fair. So no discussions at all, but immediate welcomed when getting out of the airport. ||||Rooms: The rooms are very lovely furnished. The shower was hot (we had some nasty days, so we appreciated the hot shower). Of course the view and the breakfast is out of question! Top quality. But you can read more about this from other posts and on their website. (But it's true ;-).....)||||Personal contact: We got very well informed about any questions we could think off... like nice places and restaurants to visits, Hammann places, best bakery in town or latest on developments in the area. Or even culture issues. This is often a point I am extremly interested in, but I hesitate to ask questions. Due to the fact that this couple is multicultural (Swiss, Spanish and Morrocan Mix), it gives a good quality to conversations. ||||Sustainability and Socal envolvments: Because sustainabilty is a personal issue for me, I loved to see their engagments (true transformation) and also takeing social responsability in the community. If there would be a fair trade label in Tourism of Marocco: Sarah and Yousseff would definitly get the label and more! ||||Women travellers: I can also recommend this place for women who travel on their own. You will definitly feel...
Read moreI am happy to say how welcoming and detail oriented Youssef and Sarah are. Absolutely perfect experience for a solo traveler to be treated like a friend/family from the very beginning of my stay at Maison Darna. Youssef always made sure I was doing well (just the right amount of checking in with me). Also, offering to help me with anything I needed (Moroccan culture is extraordinary and Youssef is truly a wonderful ambassador for the kindness and generosity of the Moroccan people). Sarah & Youssef give from their hearts and genuinely care about not just their guests but the environment and the poor. You immediately see the quality of the guest house (decor is beautiful and functional) the sustainability is done with true concern for our precious environment and yet the highest quality/standards are maintained by them in terms of cleanliness (sheets and bedding are clean and comfortable). I have to say something about the breakfast every morning - delicious and healthy! Again, the attention to details and presentation is truly wonderful. I have been so fortunate to be able to travel to many different places and especially after COVID, I couldn’t ask for a better reception than coming to the Kingdom of Morocco. Especially, finding Maison Darna has been like coming home (instead of feeling like an outsider, I feel like I’m welcome with sincerity and friendship). Merci Beaucoup...
