Great place to stay!
I dont write many reviews. Unless I really like or dislike something. This place I liked a lot so I want to share this experience with you:
Hamid is a great host. Very attentive. He speaks English very well. Better communication than with any other host or Maroccan person in our 4 weeks cycling through the country.
If you stay here you will get: Great breakfast and a lot of it. Great dinner, Hamid's Tajine. (Vegetarian is no problem) All day long very nice tea. Direct access to all tours, hikes, sightseeing with Hamid himself or other guides. Hamid can also arrange airport transport for a good price
All of this for the best price we have had so far!
The room is simple but very cozy. The whole room is like a giant bed with many warm blankets to sleep warmly in the cold mountain nights.
Hamid is straightforward and will tell you: 'I like people more than money'. He will ask you many times if you like the food, room, shower, etc.
Be sure to say anything you want or would like differently. He will be glad to arrange it for you.
We arrived late and immediately got very nice dinner. The price of which is pay 'as you like'. Hamid will make sure you eat 'enough' (which is a lot!!). Very nice with all the activities in the day.
We asked Hamid in the morning to help us climb Toubkal. He made some calls and arranged a great guide for us for a very good price. He also lent us his skiing jackets for free. We set off on the wonderous 2-day adventure hike less than 1 hour later.
In short: Be sure to visit Hamid if you...

Our stay at Dar Imoughlad was nothing short of exceptional. Traveling as a family of four, we were warmly welcomed by the hosts, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home. The guesthouse is nestled in a stunning location, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains—a true haven for nature lovers.
The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, reflecting the local charm. Each detail was thoughtfully arranged to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The beds were cozy, and we slept peacefully every night.
One of the highlights of our visit was the food. The traditional Moroccan meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients were simply divine. Our children especially loved the homemade tagines and desserts.
The hospitality was unmatched. The hosts were incredibly attentive and kind, offering us advice on local hiking trails and organizing activities to suit our family’s interests. They even helped us arrange transportation, which made exploring the area stress-free.
Dar Imoughlad is truly a hidden gem, perfect for families looking to experience authentic Moroccan culture while enjoying modern comforts. We left with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for the warm hospitality. Highly recommend to anyone...
Read moreOne name only, Hamid ! The reason to come here was not the incredibly low prices but all the great reviews I read on so many websites about this little hotel/inn/gite and the wonderful hospitality of it’s owner, Hamid. If there is any place where you feel welcome it is here. Don’t expect 5 star accommodation, but you can definitely expect 5 star hospitality! Besides being a great host Hamid is also a licensed mountain guide who will gladly take you off the beaten track and take you to places where you will hardly see any tourists. Besides regular visitors Hamid also organizes trips up the mountains for the disabled giving them the opportunity to enjoy what for so many others is so much easier to reach. On Hamid’s advice we traveled around this wonderful area, enjoyed the beautiful national parcs and visited small villages to experience the real life. Finally, Hamid being the perfect host he is prepares lovely dinners, always with a watchful eye making sure you will have everything you need. Hamid is the embodiment of Moroccan hospitality wanting to give you the best and almost feeling ashamed for you having to pay for it. So please return his generosity in kind. Working as hard as he does for you he so much...
