The Kasbah Imlil was one of the biggest highlights of the trip in Morocco. We didn't find a lot of trip advisor reviews on it, but checked else where and reviews were positive. Highly highly recommend this place. They were easy to communicate with and help us set up transfer from our Marrakesh hotel and were a like to drop us off afterwards to the Marrakesh train station for a reasonable price. The rooms were cozy with air conditioning ( it got a little cold outside when we visited in November) and so we had the heat on and it was comfortable. The balcony has a beautiful view of the mountains. The water is strong and hot as needed. The food — what can I say about the food. We had breakfast and dinner there twice and the portions are very very generous and extremely delicious. You can hear them Prepare the meal through out the day fresh and warm starting with soup and ending with dessert and tea. We even had some afternoon coffee in a shared common reading area that is beside the roof overlooking the mountains. The chefs are very very talented. They also organized a tour guide for us to take a trek through the mountains which was slightly challenging for us being out of shape but overall very beautiful. The guide even took us to his home and have us some nice tea on the way back through the villages. We also took a walk ourselves one day for lunch in the town. Overall a very...
Read moreWe booked a twin room here in May for 4 nights. The place has changed hands since and is nothing like reviews based on previous owner. We were very disappointed with it and cut our stay short. |There is a young woman to greet you, the owner is nowhere to be seen. We were the only guests. It is a beautiful spot (although hard to get there, luggage has to be carried down steep, uneven steps from the road). There was no hot water, the towels on my bed were still wet, the rooftop balcony was dusty and had clearly not been used in ages. We required help to get to the kasbah as there was a rock slide blocking the road. We had to hike down into the valley and up a dry river bed and many steps to get there. The owner was contacted and did not help in any way. |There are many other places to stay in the area. Do not confuse this place with Kasbah du Toubkal, they are...
Read moreNot the easiest to find but asking in the town got me pointed in the location of a office that deals with a lot of properties I guess. Anyway met someone on the road and parked in a sister hotel near the road. A 10 min walk and met Mohamed who served us mint tea upstairs on the roof area. Brilliant views , shown to our room perfectly warm (was december) and a great view. Shower had no hot water through the stay, just ice cold and less cold :-), still this is the Atlas mountains so dont expect too much.||||Breakfast was brilliant and really set you up for the day.||||Wifi was intermittent, but then again was a 4G dongle plugged into...
