The White Camp Erg Chebbi & Merzouga — Hotel in caïdat d'Er-Rissani

This place is incredible! From the service, the “tents”, the camel ride, the dinner, entertainment and breakfast and staff - it was all about perfect. Do yourself a favour and book this experience. ||It starts when you meet the 4x4 to take you on a roughly 30min drive to the camp from the roadside through the sand. You arrive to a lovely reception with welcome tea. ||The tents are more like a 5 star suite with beautiful fittings. ||Our camels arrive about 6pm to avoid the heat of the day and I have to say this was a highlight of our Moroccan trip. Absolutely spectacular. Our camel guide helped us take photos too. ||Dinner was at 8pm with traditional music beforehand and a lovely outdoor fire. We felt like kings. ||Breakfast was also nice. ||All in all a “must do” experience if in Morocco.||The only very small feedback I have is:|1) our room was very hot when we arrived which is understandable AND We arrived a little early but it would have been great if the air conditioning had been put on before we got there (not a whinge just a suggestion which may happen if you arrive later)||2) As I mentioned our camel ride was amazing BUT when we got ready to travel back to camp our camel guide got out some trinkets he wanted us to buy. This in itself is fine and we weren’t surprised but he said they were $80au each!!!! These are things we had seen in the markets for $4au. We declined and gave him a tip which we had planned but he then sulked all the way back and dumped us back making us feel very uncomfortable. |I would suggest being aware of this and be ready to combat it when it happens. ||Still loved...

The most beautiful desert camp ever - we spent 3 days, two nights here. The picked us up promptly from the airport, drove us to camp and there was delicious breakfast waiting for us. The camp was so relaxing in the day and we enjoyed the sunset camel trek and sandboarding in the beautiful desert. The dinners and lunches were scrumptious and it was all so entertaining for the kids. There has been clearly a lot of thought that has been put into decorating the campsite and creating a full experience for guests. The tent itself was exactly what I was looking for. My family of 4 had ample room and enjoyed the luxurious decor, which was very thoughtfully decorated and clean. The thick blankets were very handy in the nights. There was lots of entertainment for my two children, campfire and songs and delicious food. Absolutely delicious food and such variety and healthy options! My children really loved every single dish. Bonus was the starry night sky in uninterrupted silence. The whole package was extremely well executed, from start to finish. The second day of tour was super well planned. We loved the fossil site visit which was so unexpected and then the market visit where we bought some berber fossil souvenirs and then the visit to the berber village. The trip to the oasis and lake was superb too. It was a full tour! We came back to the camp and relaxed. The next day, it was so well planned the drop off to the airport. An Unforgettable Desert Adventure at White Camp: Comfort, Adventure, and Stargazing in Morocco

We recently spent three unforgettable days and two nights at White Camp in Morocco’s desert, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional, making us feel welcome the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay.

The camp itself was beautifully designed—luxurious yet authentic to the desert landscape. The tents were spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, offering the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern convenience. Gazing at the star-filled sky in the heart of the desert was an experience we’ll always treasure.

While the food was good, the real highlight of our trip was the ATV ride into the desert, recommended by the camp. It was an exhilarating adventure, allowing us to explore the dunes in an unforgettable way. We highly recommend it! Camel riding at sunset was also a wonderful touch to round off the day.

The overall atmosphere at White Camp was serene and relaxing. Evenings spent around the campfire, with local music softly playing in the background, were the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure.
