Kasbah de Talamanzou — Hotel in caïdat d'Frouga

Finally approaching the roadsign for Talamanzou after some 50 km west of Marrakech, you are far beyond the bustle & hustle of the vibrant city. You are amidst berber country with a half-desert sand-brown landscape and some lonely scattered villages boiling under the burning sun.||Your approach to the Kasbah is accompanied by small signs once and a while when you make your way on dust and gravel roads upwards towards a group of houses in the distance. Suddenly, after crawling up a steep hill, the Kasbah and one of its two majestic doors is right in front of you. Opening onto a small palm surrounded driveway, the old Kasbah is in front of you. You receive very warm greetings from the charming french owners, when you step through ancient doorways inside the Kasbah. You feel that it is neither a modern building nor does it reflect the well-known contemporary "Build-as if"-Style. In every corner you feel the ancient berber Kasbah with its peasant ancestors, well preserved by its present owners. Lots of antiques accompany your way to your room, mostly small, but cosy, with a tadelakt bathroom adjourning.||Meals are morrocan-berber style, well cooked and very delicious, served in a very charming and warm atmosphere.|| The Kasbah sits in a wonderful, peacefull hilly landscape, you are in berber country! Sheep, hens and donkeys are close by. The almost 2 Hectar garden is partly a olive-plantation, partly to house a nice and refreshing pool, deep enough for a good plunge. Afterwards you take a sip of wine in the yard- what else do you need?||We departed after two nights with very good memories and the feeling that this place deserves to be placed among those around Marrakech, where you find peace and roots as well as a very pleasant & warm hospitality of...

L'hospitalité, la gentillesse, le dépaysement et des paysages magnifiques caractérisent ce petit coin de Maroc, et tout ça à quelques km de Marrakech.. ||Et pour ne rien gâcher, on y mange bien:||Des tajines de Fatima en passant par les petits dej' de Djamila, sans oublier les brochettes de la team BBQ, la piscine n'aura pas été suffisante pour nous faire oublier ces moments de convivialité calorique :). ||Tout est là pour passer un moment inoubliable, que l'on soit en famille ou en amoureux. Venus à 3 générations (de 83 à13 ans )passer Noel dans le dépaysement et les retrouvailles familiales,nous avons chaleureusement été accueillis par Gisèle et Daniel ainsi que leur personnel disponible ,attentif et appliqué .Le lieu est enchanteur ,dépaysant et authentique .La cuisinière une perle qui n'hésite pas à partager son savoir faire .Ce lieu un véritable havre de paix et nous avons pu apprécier ou (re)découvrir un Maroc divers et varié ,la kasbah étant à la croisée des chemins mer ,montagne ,vie nocturne de Marrakech pour les fêtards de la famille .Gisèle et Daniel sont des hôtes discrets, attentionnés et fort sympathiques .
