My partner and I walked in around 21st December as we were driving through Agoudal and asked for the prices of the rooms. The host said 200 and we asked if we could had a discount as we were the only ones there anyway. He clearly wrote on a piece of paper 180. Then he insisted very vehemently that we have dinner there, so we asked, if we have dinner and the room, how much would that be? He wrote 20 on the piece of paper as overall price for everything, so it seemed like a good deal. Overpriced stay in a remote area? Sure, but it seemed okay if we were also getting dinner. He also said breakfast would be included in the overall price so we said ok for 200 all included we are staying. Little did we know what he was planning for us! After the day went past and we declined other offers to buy overpriced tours and carpets, we had a tajine for dinner, a couple of hours of Internet (which was plugged in during dinner and switched off afterwards) and went to sleep. The next morning after breakfast we hand him 200 dirhams as agreed and he starts arguing with us that that was not what we had agreed and they dinner cost 160/180 extra and that we also had to pay for breakfast so in the end instead of the agreed 200 dirhams he wanted 400 dirhams (€40) which was NOT what we agreed and he insisted and accused us of misunderstanding. He had also locked our car in the car park overnight so we decided to give him the money but argued back that we were extremely unhappy and that this is not the way to do business. We found this behavior very dishonest and recommend to others not to stay here (there is another place at the end of the village) or, if you do, to make it very clear what is included and what is not, and if necessary pay upfront only for the room, and possibly bring your own food to eat, because he also tipped us off on the tajine asking us 3 or 4 times the price (double what you would pay in a post place in a city). So BEWARE and steer clear if you can or know your wits. Extremely unhappy with the dishonest behavior here more than...

Read moreThe hotel is spacious. The immediate area is nothing special. The rooms are spacious but very standard. The bed was pulled in and the shower dropped all night. The courtyard is soberly decorated.||The dinner was very disappointing. The preparation took quite long and it gave discussion in the kitchen. The potatoes and chicken in the tagine were clearly burned, but they had removed the burned layer. When we complained at the manager, he denied ithe potatoes were burned. At checkout, he was not willing to adjust the price, only after demand he reduced the price.||Poor quality/ price, there are better hotels in Agoudal for...
