This is a lovely place to stay in and relax in the beautiful surroundings of rural Morocco.||I would like to make a special mention and recognise the efforts of two of the staff members there. ||Ashraf and Omar were both lovely people and they work very hard to ensure that the guests are happy and I really appreciate their efforts in making all the food and looking after the place which was beautiful, a huge well done to these guys keep working hard your talents should definitely be recognised Shkran / Merci to both of you ! |||On the other hand I would also just like to make a couple of general observations or suggestions to the owners which I believe could even improve the overall experience to guests .||In terms of the meals I would love to see a bit more variety. For example I think the breakfasts become a little monotonous ( not only here but in my general experience across the country) my suggestion would be a bit more options to chose from instead of the same every day would be amazing for example croissants or cereal kind of like a small buffet option . Sometimes you fancy different things so if you are presented with exactly the same every day it can be a bit boring .||In terms of dinners perhaps a bit more communication about what is on the menu and maybe a choice of two typical Moroccan dishes would be nice .||Please note this is just my personal opinion which I think would just improve the whole experience but like I mentioned the staff members there work very hard and do their best to make you happy .||The installations are lovely and all decorated in a very cool and natural way .||Swimming pool...
Read moreLes Jardins de Taja is a dream space of nature, tranquility, light, and love! We have enjoyed our stay thoroughly ans really regretted booking only two nights!
The staff were super helpful and responsive and very kind. We had a chance to meet the owners, a French and Moroccan couple as well as Fatiha's mom and grandma, the namesake of the property.
We stayed in the Lise house and woke up to wonderful morning views, the sounds of roosters, and the adorable donkeys, Caramelle and Phiselle, right in our backyard, and the 3 lovely kitties and 2 dogs, Oscar and Naia.
Food was amazing for breakfast and dinner and the hammam and massage were very special treats on the property.
The swimming pool and surrounding terrace are perfect for relaxation and watching the sunset. We also managed a good 9km hike towards the Atlas Mountains, encountering many sheep, goats, turtles, and very friendly locals.
So much love and care has been put into this property and it managed to inspire my husband and I to consider the crazy dream of running something similar one day in the beautiful Ourika Valley!
Overall, do not hesitate to book the space (for definitely more than 2 nights!). You will have an...
Read moreWe stayed three nights in December. Nice views from the pool, very quiet atmosphere.
We had an issue with our bed on the first night which was resolved the next day. Breakfast was fine. Hammam and massage available onsite was relaxing.
Dinner was fine although the desserts offered were not good and given the other places we ate during our stay in Morocco it was overpriced for the quality.
Pool too cold to use in December which we expected. Rooms used AC for heating but were still quite cold evenings/mornings. Some more rugs and slippers in rooms would be welcome given the extremely cold floors.
We had an issue with our departing taxi, the owners did try to resolve but unfortunately once we had left it was not possible.
Very little service from the few staff that were there. If you don’t speak French communication...
