My first impression when I arrived was that the place and employees looked a bit sketchy.. and I was right... I would say the great majority of the reviews in both Booking and Google for this property are not real and you will learn now why… A man at the reception asked to see my booking confirmation number and also the confidential pin code of my reservation. For this he took my mobile phone for several minutes. This was strange, and I realized what happened a few days after. The property used this information to post a fake feedback comment on my name with a rating of 10 in Booking. I reached out to Booking and they quickly helped and deleted this review. I'm now posting the real one. This is the reason why the property rating is so inflated compared to what you really get. If you look closely, many reviews are with very limited words but a rating of 10. Regarding the hotel, the general room cleanliness was so-so, and specifically, the shower was dirty with hair from other guests. In addition, there was a dog in the property full of fleas and insects. The food was bland and plain, but really expensive. The property charged several euros extra when paying with credit card since they mentioned it was expensive for them to get payments in credit card. Employees made continuous opportunistic comments during my stay making me feel uncomfortable. In general, the stay looked really really sketchy and I felt observed by the employees all the time. Cold welcome by the receptionist, who acted like if he was doing us a favor by receiving us. Room was dirty and bed undone, the shower had not been cleaned for months by the look of all the dirt and hair that you could find on the floor. Wifi does not work in the rooms, only by the entrance hall. Dinner was almost 20€ per person for a bowl of canned soup and 4 small pieces of dried chicken. The pool was dirty and the place itself looked unfinished and under construction. Receptionist only allowed us to pay with credit card if we were ok to pay an extra fee. Same as I read in prior comments, the owner of the hotel posted a fake review on our name after sneakily requesting to take our phone to “check something on the reservation” via Booking. I have never seen such a disrespectful behavior anywhere else. All in all, this property is managed by people who take advantage of guests and the reviews you can find on the internet do not reflect the reality of the place, not to mention the inflated price paid for the quality received. I will never ever come back, and I hope nobody else falls...

The view in this paradise is stunning with a spacious layout and relaxing atmosphere (we loved eating our meals outside on the patio by the pool), but what really made staying here the undeniable highlight of a two week trip across Southern Spain and Morocco was the incredible staff who were all friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to meet. No matter what we needed the staff was happy to go above and beyond to deliver the best customer service with care of the highest possible degree, Nadia and Yassine in particular. They also both very meaningfully shared in detail much about themselves and about life in Morocco, along with many laughs. Most of all, Nadia's conversational abilities in English combined with her outgoing, joyful personality made it our most fun, educational, and unforgettable experience of the whole trip, one in a million! We absolutely loved it here and were sad to leave! I will be definitely be recommending everyone I know to visit Nadia and Yassine and the rest of the staff at Ksar Lamane...
