Dunes de Dakhla — Hotel in caïdat de El Argoub قيادة العركوب

Did not have a very good experience. Firstly, our booking was cancelled by the hotel before we arrived, even though we had messaged 24 hours prior to say we would be uncontactable (due to internet being shut off by the government in Mauritania). Once arrived, they tried to charge us more than the ‘cancelled’ booking price… the manager did do his best to fix this though. The poor experience came from after our first night. Like everyone in Dakhla, we are here to kitesurf, we were not told that there is only one bus a day at 10:00 and returning at 20:00 that needs to be booked the day prior. No information was given to us about this at all. Once we asked how to get to the kite location (a mere 2kms away), we were told it would cost 70 euros!! And that we need to book a bus tomorrow! In the meantime, a car from Attitude (their partner hotel) arrived to drop off 2 guests, when we asked to get in the car to go with him as he was going with an empty car all that was said was ‘no’ and he drove away. Extremely poor communication from the manager, ridiculous that we cannot get any transport to somewhere so close. We feel trapped at a resort. Amazing experience! The word "all inclusive" is an understatement for this place. The food was the most tasty food we had during our 3 weeks in Morocco. And in general one of the most delicious foods we ever had. The food was very varied and we always had new meals. The portions were huge. They had unlimited supply of wine and beer. The staff was amazing especially the bartender. He treated and cared for us like we were princesses :D They had a nice live band which played every day. They offered different tours which we took and they all were nice. The room was very nice and clean, and we had cleaning in our room every day. Je suis venue dans cet hôtel en quête de paix et tranquillité, et vraiment il a été à la hauteur de mes attentes. Les dunes de dakhla est un vrai Havre de paix en plein désert au milieu des dunes qui permet de se ressourcer et de retrouver soi-même. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, bien équipées avec tout le nécessaire. L'eau de douche est de source thermale, ce qui est bénéfique pour la peau, elle est bien chaude aussi. La pension complète comprend les 3 repas de la journée. Merci au chef pour les bons plats préparés avec soin. Les plats sont très généreux et rassasiants. Le cadre du restaurant est très agréable nous permettant de profiter de la nature. La piscine est dépaysante, propre et bien entretenue, avec serviettes fournies. Merci au manager youssef et à tout le staff pour l'attention accordée aux clients, nous sommes vraiment chouchoutés car ils étaient vraiment aux petits soins. Même avec mon arrivée tôt, j'ai immédiatement eu ma chambre et bénéficié d'un check out tardif. La navette gratuite est un vrai plus, les chauffeurs arrivent avant l'heure même.
