Hello dear traveler. Let me tell you about this funny guy and this beautiful place.🏝

I stayed at Redouane's for one week and it's been an extremely nourishing and magical experience. I was with my partner and we really felt like we were one of their family, Redouane met us at the bus station in Erfoud (while he didn’t have to) and taught us so many things within such a short amount of time.

He is committed to te awareness expansion for both the inhabitants of el boya + the local nomads and the visitors like us as the reunion between the two teaches a lot for both parts.

If you want to immerse yourself into the culture : that's the right place. it is a small village in an oasis surrounded by palm tree and the desert.

We went to the dunes south ( and camel trip in merzouga ), climbing rocks to the north ( and finding fossils of our own ) eating with nomads family ( what an amaaaazing opportunity, so genuine and authentic, not your typical tourist attraction ) sharing morrocan tea and watching the clear sky full of stars.

Redouane is an open minded human being, who loves to share, teach, help and discover things, he speak arabic, amazigh, english, Spanish, a bit of French and German... I ne his little girl Yasmina is the cuttest. I can’t wait to see how she grows when she is holder thanks to the opportunity she has of being surrounded by such and international influence.

He is your best ally when your are a foreigner here. He protected us from many trouble and helped us negotiate, he even brought my money back from a guy who asked too much for the product without me knowing about it. Super kind and protective : don’t worry he’s got your back 😉

There's so much to say about our week in his place, the food is DELICIOUS (couscous friday you know what I mean!)

If you are looking to live an authentic experience with locals in this country, I highly recommend you to go to Redouane's, he's definitely the guy you should go to and the place you will love to be in.

I am full of gratitude for this experience and can’t wait to see the result of the first bricks we built with Redouane turning into a hostel in front of the cave. My friend thank you so much for you kind heart, your generosity and your openness...

If you want to experience living in a true Moroccan village close to the Sahara desert and try the best traditional dishes, look no further. The hostel built by Redouane with the help of international volunteers is a true gem hidden in a village 15 minutes from Erfoud. I got the chance to live in a traditional house built with mud bricks, learnt how to make Moroccan atai, tried so many delicious dishes that I can't even choose the best one among them, and found out many new things about Morocco and berbers from this gracious host. I especially loved the rooftop, which is a bit hidden from the neighbours, allowing you not only to stargaze at night but also to sunbathe during the days. The kitchen and salon are very lovely as well and you will most definitely enjoy hanging out with both Redouane and the other guests.

Besides, Redouane organised a 2-day trip to the desert camp for us and this is an experience I will cherish forever. The price was very student-friendly and everything was perfectly pre-planned by Redouane, which allowed us to simply relax and follow his lead. Thanks to Redouane, in just 2 days we: visited the fossils museum, haggled in the suk of Rissani, tried Moroccan pizza, drank beer in a desert bar, listened and danced to Gnawa music, relaxed in a swimming pool, rode camels, sandboarded, played traditional instruments next to a bonfire, saw the Milky Way float across the night sky, made wishes on dozens of shooting stars, enjoyed the sunrise above the golden sand dunes, and had the best couscous ever.

P.S. I suggest you first visit Marrakech, Fès, etc. and then come here, as after the peace and stillness you experience in Casa Redouane and the desert going to bigger touristy place becomes...

I stayed at Casa Redouane for a week as a volunteer and it was an unforgettable experience. Helping him with his ongoing project to build a hostal for incoming tourists who want to get in touch with the locals and experience the beautiful, down-to-earth and humble lifestyle of people in this wonderful town near the Merzouga Desert.||Redouane was always available, communicative and helpful. I traveled with a friend and he taught us everything about the bereber nomads and how people live in these towns. We got to try several traditional dishes from the Moroccan culture, as well as having the chance to cook ourselves and elaborate some dishes from our hometown.||The volunteering experience was great, we helped reorganise and brainstormed a bit about how the hostel could be improven. Redouane takes close attention to every suggestion. ||We also traveled to the Merzouga Desert and spent a night there, we rode camels and had the full experience, which will forever be unforgettable. ||We visited a nomad family and got to experience their lifestyle and understand how they live. My friends and I stayed at Casa Redouane for five days: Redouane and his wife Safa treated us as if we were their children. We had amazing moroccon breakfast, lunch and dinner every day; Redouane is an open minded and always enthusiastic person; he really loves his country and he seeks to transmit to his guests the authentic traditions of Morocco. We had the chance to get to know the children of the ksar el boya and play football with them; then we had dinner with a nomad family, we ate their bread cooked in a mud oven and sang some moroccon songs with them. Then on our last day we had a fantastic experience in the desert near Merzouga, we rided camels (well treated, don’t worry about that) and spent a night in the camp -there’s beautiful tents with beds there, but we preferred to sleep on a sand dune, under the stars. This stop at Casa Redouane definitely added valour, especially human valour, to our trip in Morocco. Inshallah we’ll be back in ksar el bouya and we’ll stay much more next time to help and support Redouane with his project. SHUKRAN🌸🌸
