Rise in the Valley — Hotel in caïdat de Irklaouen

We stayed here in December. It has a great peaceful location in the mountain air but can be a little difficult to locate because of lack of signage. The location is good if you want to be near Azrou or Ifrane. Only about 1.5 hours drive from Fez.||||The establishment is relatively new with a real homely feel. The living area is lovely and warm, with a large open fire place a glow in the evenings. In the day there are good views out to the valley.||||Breakfasts are generous with eggs, pastries and juice. The mint tea was especially lovely here.||||Rooms are a good size with a clean modernised bathroom. We requested an extra bar heater for our room which was on the lower ground floor and this helped heat the room up very effectively. We also had enough room for an extra single bed in the room for our daughter.||||Hint: Request a room that is not on the lower ground floor. ||Swagman...

This was by far the best hotel we stayed in Morocco, it's simply is a lovely boutique hotel. When we stayed there we were upgraded by the owner (Soufianne) to the large family room. It was stunning, the kids and I could not get enough of the beautiful room. It was amazing, and the views were a pleasure to the eyes. When we were there the entire valley was covered in snow; we didn't feel cold in the room as the heating was good. It's about the only place in Morocco where the heating was good.||The property sits in a secluded location without much light pollution, at night if you look up you can see all the stars.
