What an amazing and authentic desert experiencce. The kindness and hospitality showed to me by Moha, his wife Agata, Ibrahim and everyone I met during my time there was 2nd to none. The accommodation was clean, spacious and comfortable. The tea and the food were excellent. The bed was large and comfortable, but I only used it for a siesta, at night I slept next to the fire, under a canopy of stars, falling asleep gazing at the Milky Way. I took a 2-night tour, a mixture of camel back, walking and 4x4. The first night out in the desert, we camped wild, again sleeping under the Milky Way. Bread cooked in hot sands, tajine cooked on the campfire, sitting atop the dunes watching the magnificent sunset. The 2nd night was spent in a camp at Erg Chigaga. It was very enjoyable at the Erg Chigaga camp, but I found myself longing for the solitude of the desert. There is something primordial about the changing faces of the desert. With Moha I learnt to identify desert fox holes, mouse holes, bird tracks and poisonous plants. We found desert melons and took tea in a genuine Nomad camp. The whole trip was just magical. Moha is a passionate guide, who loves the desert with every fibre of his being, and I think he has transferred some of that passion to me because I'm already planning on returning, to go deeper into the desert and to rediscover the internal peace the desert gave me. From the moment I arrived, I never felt like a client but rather an honoured guest, even a friend. If you are looking for an authentic desert experience then go to Camp Chraika. Agata is an excellent communicator and will help you, every step of the way with your planning and your questions. If I could give Camp Chraika 10 out of 5, I would. Agatha, Moha (Moho lol) See...

If you are looking for tranquility and peace, Dessert Camp Chraika is exactly the place for you. Located at the verge of he Sahara Dessert it offers spacious and comfortable rooms for anyone craving of getting away from the chaos of everyday life. The hosts Agata and Moha, very warm and hospitable couple, will welcome you with great smile and aromatic Berber tea. We spent there a few unforgettable days, trying delicious vegetarian meals prepared by Naji and his team, meditating, hanging out with cats and just simply chilling. It was awesome. However, if you feel more adventurous, Moha will organise a few days camel safari to the nearby Ergs, a trekking to the dessert, shopping for original local craftsmanship in the neighbouring Mhamid or a tour of the nerby village. Truly once in a...

A 6-day trip through Morocco and who would have thought we find the best food in the desert? Well, I can tell you Mohamed is an amazing cook. However it's not only about how the food tastes but also what comes with it. The authentic desert feeling you get in this camp is definitely worth the trip!

Agata and Mohamed are both very warm-hearted and managed to make us feel like home. The sanitary facilities are as good as you could ask for in the desert and the rooms are comfy. We booked a one day/one night trip to erg chigaga, which was quite an experience we can absolutely recommend.

All in all we wish we could have stayed a little longer in this amazing place and we hope we can come back to experience the 6 day trip through the desert with Agata...

Wow! This is really a place beyond words. I fell in love with the small dunes and tamarisk trees on my doorstep! Incredible sunrises and sunsets. Despite the challenges to bring the resources we take for granted (structures, water, electricity, food..) Agata and Mohammed have created a welcoming place in the desert, simple and cosy, with all these kind of needs taken care of! An amazing place to feel the silence, relax. It was perfect for me to write, paint, meditate... I wish I could stay longer... (I feel like I could stay there for months!) And if you are searching for someone to organize a trip deeper into the desert, these two form a reliable, knowledgeable and caring Dream Team . The locations we visited on the trips are just... well, unforgettable.
