Stayed a whole week at desert bivouac and it was nothing short of AMAZING! Don’t miss this opportunity to stay at Madani’s desert bivouac. The camp situated in a beautiful peaceful garden amongst the sand dunes was restful, quiet and mesmerising. Madani also offers to take people out into the great dunes of Erg Chigaga which was AMAZING! Eating the best food I had in Morrocco drinking the best tea I’ve ever drunk and sleeping under the stars, drinking fresh camel milk and seeing a baby camel right after it’s been born will be a memory I will have for the rest of my life. Nadjii who works there is an absolute legend and I always felt incredibly welcomed and enjoyed his energy very much. I had a little disagreement with Madani about having to pay to use the kitchen but I quickly realized you can’t take things for granted in the desert, things don’t come as easy and gas is very expensive! The food is also some of the best you’ll have in Morrocco so I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to order a Tagine. Thank you again Madani and Nadjii you guys are the best! Will try to return again one...

Before we arrived there, our car got stuck in the sand because the route was not really meant for a regular car (2-wheel drive). We called Madani up and he was able to help us out. He is a super experienced driver so he could drive our car to his place.
Overnight we slept in our own van, but during the day we chilled at the place that Madani and his people built themselves.
We really enjoyed our stay and would describe it as a real Moroccan experience. Our visit to Madani was during our world travel and this experience is definitely...
Read moreOne of our best experiences in Morocco! Really, if you are in M'Hamid you should visit Madani and Tiny. They're the loveliest couple and do all they can to help the community and show their life work to travelers.
With only limited resources they try to bring ‘green’ back to the very dry desert. They welcomed us with open arms, taught us a lot about life in the desert and serve great food. It’s possible to sleep in one of the rooms, and soon in some self-built huts. We camped on their grounds in our truck and the next day Madani took us for an unforgettable trip into the desert....
