Nkob: A City of Kasbahs and Warm Hospitality
Nestled in the heart of Morocco's Drâa Valley, Nkob is a charming city renowned for its rich history and architectural heritage. Known as the "City of 45 Kasbahs," Nkob is home to an impressive collection of traditional Moroccan kasbahs, many of which have been lovingly restored to their former glory.
These kasbahs, with their towering walls and intricate designs, are a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage. I highly recommend exploring the kasbahs on foot or by donkey, as it's the best way to appreciate their architectural details and learn about their fascinating history.
During my stay in Nkob, I had the pleasure of staying at Auberge Kasbah Ennakhile, a traditional Moroccan kasbah that has been meticulously restored. The auberge is a haven of tranquility, with charming rooms and suites, delectable Moroccan cuisine, and warm hospitality.
I would like to extend a special thanks to Saïd (the gentleman in the pictures) of Auberge Kasbah Ennakhile for his exceptional hospitality. He and his staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. They arranged guided excursions to nearby attractions, recommended hidden gems in the area, and even organized a traditional Moroccan dinner on the terrace.
Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural insights, Nkob and Auberge Kasbah Ennakhile offer an unforgettable Moroccan experience. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful city and staying at this...

The other part is open to enjoy the vista of the gorgeous oasis. Service is good but mistaken orders abound as the servers are usually rushed off their feet. Food is decent, not very imaginative but served hot and fresh. Unfortunately, the chicken brochette we ordered was dry and stringy, but I appreciated the service with a smile! So, if you are on the road this is a pretty good pit...
Read moreWe went here one night. At the first sight it looked nice. Some stafmembers were friendly, others were not. It was in the middle of nowhere, so there were not a lot of options. The swimming pool looked old and not that clean. After our diner (that was ok) we went back to our room. There were at least two cockroaches. There were some bugs on the wall and climbing on the doors. The bathroom was dirty, old and almost broken. It was really small. When I sat on the toilet, my knees were against the sink. The beds and the blankets were dirty. The a/c was leaking on the floor next to our bags. The window didn't had a curtain so that was annoying. But one positive thing, the view...
