NOT a 5* Hotel! 3* at a push.||Service painfully slow if they even remember the request or order. No one picks up hotel phone. No 24hour reception for emergencies or assistance. No communication between staff members to know what’s going on with pricing, rules, requirements, requests, orders etc. Food & Drinks limited for the hotel with no atmosphere in the dining area. No shops, restaurants or pharmacies near the vacancy, £70 taxi to any city civilisation. No coffee in the room, staff can’t explain the food they have to offer, no alcohol free, no room service unless keep reminding the staff that understand.||Spa is expensive for what’s to offer, spa staff didn’t speak English to understand I said I was in pain, too hot, being burnt & felt uncomfortable so ended up with embarrassing injuries for the rest of my holiday, also didn’t appreciate being stripped by the staff in front of my mum when explaining I didn’t want to be naked, nor have my naked private bits being sat exactly where others (my mums) private bits was sat bare as not sanitary.||Trips & excursions through the hotel are overpriced for what they’re offering, no explanation or description of trips for what you need to take/what to expect. (The desert, food, camel ride/quad bike trip) taxi driver didn’t understand English, where we was dropped there wasn’t any instructions on what to do or where to go & had to find someone who understand English to try explain, still wasn’t explained properly or correctly so had to seek to find taxi back to hotel. (Cheaper, safer feel, good English, better explanations of times & what is included & more accommodating booking through trip advisor for any excursions)||Wifi for the hotel is hit & miss & hardly reaches the rooms.||Pool is freezing & the atmosphere depends entirely on who else is at the hotel with you. Pool showers broken. Pool bar unstaffed & dirty towels left on the side.||Kittens on the property aren’t spayed so a kitten that was begging to come into the room for safety went into the next room & gave birth to still born kittens, luckily it was adults that had to experience the mourning kittens cries & dead kittens, would have been extra traumatic for a child to have seen & experience (if you see little Lilliana please give her my love as the hotel can name, feed & water them but not take care of basic serious matters).||Only advantage of this hotel is the nature garden to listen to the birds & see wildlife, the gardeners are funny to watch, it’s nice to enjoy the greenery, one nice staff member that tried really hard to help, grateful that they brought food to the room (when/if they remembered but never for the time you’ve asked even though they ask you what time you would like it everyday) & the smart tv in the room was best or would have died of boredom in the evenings as there’s no entertainment...

I could not in good faith recommend this hotel to anyone. I don’t know where to start really so I’ll give a quick summary. Dirty stained sheets (blood, grime, everything) every day that they just flip upside down when they “remake” the room. Towels are stained and grim. The rooms are beyond dated, dirty, with broken or dirty facilities in them (fridge/TV). Everyone gets an “upgrade” when they arrive, it’s just lies from the start. You’re told to order food an hour in advance because it’s all freshly made (apparently) but then hounded at 2pm to order your dinner and provide a time. It will not be on time whether you order it an hour in advance or 6 hours in advance. Food and drinks have a ridiculous mark up in price, you’re not allowed to bring any in from outside the hotel, not that there’s anywhere around to get any, but they’re frequently out of stock of things here. The menu is limited, the breakfast is the same every day, you can’t even ask for an orange at breakfast, you will be refused, and there is no option for all inclusive drinks as they said they “wouldn’t be able to track how many we had”. It’s 40 degrees and I just want to be able to have a bottle of water whenever I want. ||The facilities are shambolic. In the gym the treadmill and exercise bike are broken, everything is dirty and no one ever goes in there to clean. The floor is broken in so many places, and the air con doesn’t work. It’s just a hot room, it’s not a gym or a fitness centre.||The “spa” is a drained indoor swimming pool that looks like someone’s old garage. And there’s nothing more to say about it because there’s nothing more to it - that really is it.||The gardens are beautifully maintained, and the tagine is nice (although there’s a surcharge for ordering tagine), so if that’s enough to make you happy then go for it, but if you want a single other thing - I’m talking towels, drinks, clean sheets, helpful staff, variety, wellness, ice, available items on the menu, the facilities advertised on the website - then this isn’t the place for you.||There’s more bad to say but I’d be here all day. Everyone here is miserable, we’ve spoke to other guests who feel exactly the same and none of us can fathom how this place is still operating, let alone being called 5* and having positive reviews. ||I’m not typically a complainer, but I’ve never had to try so hard to find positives in a situation. I’m coming away from this holiday feeling mentally and financially drained.||Come to Marrakech, but do not come to...

We had a wonderful time at the Taj atlas. Six of us stayed for five nights and we found the place was clean, the staff were friendly and the food was amazing.||We booked several excursions via the front desk during our stay - Day trip to Marrakech, camel rides, quad bike through the desert, Day trip to Ourika Valley, nature trip through Amizmiz. Every time the front desk could not have been more helpful, especially Sabir who is an absolute credit to the team. One of our party left their phone in a local taxi during one of the days out - Sabir on front desk tracked it down and had it delivered to the hotel the next morning - no charge! ||The food at the restaurant was amazing. Not the largest or most varied menu but for a 5 night stay it was perfect. Breakfast every morning has some common elements (omelette, bread, coffee and juice) with other variations each day such as meats, yoghurt or semolina, orange slices etc. Lunch and dinner are both the same menu but please see the photos as the food itself was beautiful and kept 6 of us happy for our whole stay. There was a 50dh surcharge for some of the meals (e.g. steak) but the vast majority were included in our half board. Drinks were not included, with the exception of the coffee and juice at breakfast.||The place itself was clean, every day the flagstones were washed and swept, and an army of room cleaners descended on the rooms. ||The outdoor pool was not heated but coming from coastal UK this was fine for us, we were quite happy with the temperature. Pool towels were placed out by the pool every day for guests to help themselves.||We wanted somewhere quiet and away from everything and this really delivered. No traffic, no anything, just the gentle sound of the cockerels every morning. ||The one let down was the gym. The treadmill and bike were both broken and there really wasn't much in there at all. No racks, no steps, not even a kettle bell. Tempted to knock a star off for it as it's that badly in need of a refurb.||We tried the massage as well and yep, no complaints.||All in all we would happily recommend to anyone looking for a quiet...

The first thing to highlight is that the location is remote. When making your selection, you need to know what you're looking for, as the hotel is an hour away from Marrakech city. The Taj Atlas Hotel is surrounded by a desert, but transport options can be arranged if needed. However, if you're seeking a peaceful environment, this accommodation is a great choice. It's one of the best places to relax and enjoy the tranquility. I loved hearing the birds around the pool area during the day and the mysterious sounds of the desert in the evening. I rented a car for three days at a cost of €150 and only needed €20 of diesel. In fact, I only traveled to Marrakech twice during my five-day stay, as I enjoyed my time at the resort so much. One of my disappointments was the bedroom. I chose this accommodation based on the website images, which showcased authentic Arabic-style bedrooms with canopies and amenities like a bathtub. Unfortunately, the website does not specify the type of room you’ll get, making it more of a guessing and hoping game. The bedroom I received did not meet my expectations, which negatively impacted the quality of my stay. A couple of mornings in a row, I found a cluster of ants in my bathroom, and the room was quite cold. However, the bed itself was one of the comfiest I have ever slept on. Overall, the website needs significant improvement in terms of information and pricing, as it remains a gray area until you actually arrive. The best part of my stay was the staff—nothing is too much trouble for them. Always welcoming and helpful. On my second day, I had a migraine, and one of the staff members drove to the pharmacy in the evening to get me medicine. I couldn't be more grateful for how well they looked after me. To help other who are considered to stay at Taj Atlas, I'm going to attach a couple of pictures I took with pricing and scenery.

Visited the Taj Atlas Wellness hotel during the last week of June. This was our first time visiting Morocco and after our experience here, it won't be the last😁. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suit, they were having some construction work done but honestly there was no inconvenience or much noise from it at all. It definitely gives us more incentive to come back and see what they've done☺️ The staff were all excellent very lovely and attentive, especially wanting to mention Rida who looked after us for the majority of our stay. He does a great job checking in with guests and it was so nice to get to know a bit more about him and the area!🌟 The food was great, very fresh, people have mentioned in other reviews a limited menu. The options they have were really good and they have something for everyone including homemade pizzas and fries for any picky eaters. If you are wanting to travel into Marrakesh and back for a better price, ask the hotel staff to arrange it for you. My mum and I were booking more expensive journeys not realizing we could have gotten a much cheaper ride through the hotel. Something we now know for next time. They offer great experience packages which we will be taking a closer look at on our next visit. They have a nice peaceful pool but the hotel itself doesn't have a whole lot for kids to do. For children the packages may be something to consider planning into your holiday if you're bringing little ones. Lots of nice wildlife around, birds a few cats and a random tortoise popped up at one point but for the location you should expect some small animals😄. They also have a roof top balcony with a fantastic view of the mountains and sunset for a few pictures or fun selast 😁 We had an excellent time and will be coming back for sure! We look forward to seeing what was being built while we were there😁🌟

I booked this for the end of December. What enticed me to stay here was the instagram worthy scenery and hotel grounds. In this aspect it delivered to my wife’s enjoyment. Staff was pleasant and very attentive taking great care of cleaning the garden and hotel. I would describe this as an oasis in the desert. If you stay here make sure you bring snacks and plenty of cash because there is no local shops or cash machines. Nevertheless the hotel does provide food at the restaurant and any drinks and snacks to your room. We stayed in a standard double room and the room I booked was it was as advertised if not a bit wear and tear if I was to nitpick. Very spacious and unique ceiling. Unfortunately we only spent two nights there as we stayed in Marrakesh for the new year. When we came back they moved us into another room to my surprise (a downgrade in my opinion) I did ask and was told our room had a problem. I had a look myself and could see they cleared the room and was doing some major work outside the room. So as we only had one more night I expected the situation. Finally please be aware this hotel is less than hour from Marrakech so it would be advised to arrange transport before you arrive. We hired a car from My Car Drive near the airport (would recommend) and journey not so bad. This option saved us money getting taxi to and from Marrakesh. Overall I enjoyed my stay I found it good value if not a bit inconvenient due to the distance which can be overcome with planning. Great unique hotel with breathtaking views.
