Le domaine de carole — Hotel in caïdat de Sidi Abdellah Ghiat

We had a very bad experience. I looked on Booking.com and it said there were rooms available. We decided to drive there and book directly with them, so they don’t have to pay Booking. We arrived around 8PM, but the gate was closed and there was nobody there. I called the owner, he was in France and gave me the number of the caretaker. Called him and he was very rude about us not having a reservation. I said, I can make a reservation on Booking now if you like. No, no, he said, the hotel is full. However, i saw on Booking that there were still rooms available. He said there’s a technical mistake in Booking. But I don’t believe it. There was literally nobody at the domaine. We knocked the door and honked with our car. Nobody there. What would have happened if we did make a reservation on Booking? Would we have lost our money? We were very unhappy and looked for another place. Will NEVER return here, that’s for sure. Also: it’s very far from Marrakech on a sketchy road. Would not advice...

he stay at Le Domaine de Carole was perfect. Very friendly and professional staff. The breakfast was typically moroccan made with fresh ingredients and I appreciated mostly the virgin olive oil made in the same farm. The rooms are spacious and clean. The meals are on demand and are prepared in the traditional moroccan way (tajines, bread, ...). On top of that, the property has a tremendous view on the Atlas Mountains and a lot of fruit trees. I highly recommend this place for people seeking for calm...

We have stayed in Family for 6 days. Mrs Jamila (Owner) and Mr Hassan are tireless to have it all perfect. All is organized and tidy, hours are respected and food is amazing, since its all fresh and cooked at the exact time. The rooms and big and with lots of Space. A big thank you to Mrs Jamila and Mr Hassan who have made it all for us to feel like we are at our home, and in fact we behaved like it was indeed our home. A great experience for us as a family in a local Riad. We will surely go back...
