When it comes to immersing oneself in the enchanting charm of Marrakesh, we couldn't have asked for a more extraordinary experience than our stay at the beautiful Riad Mayo. From the moment we stepped foot into this hidden gem, we were transported into a world of vibrant colors, intricate designs, and warm Moroccan hospitality.
We were a group of 19 and we chose Riad Mayo for birthday celebration. It was an excellent choice!
Naima, her family, and her staff made us feel like home. We not only had an amazing stay, but we also won a family. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and treated as a valued guest. The staff members were incredibly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was flawless. Needless to say, there were lots of tears when we had to leave home at the end of our 7 nights stay.
The riad is very spacious and comfortable. It consist of a main building and three bungalow-like-kasbah. Moreover, there is plenty (!) of the garden space and magnificent pool area. So regardless of our mood, we were able to rest, sunbathe, rad books, enjoy cocktails in the garden, play ping pong, watch beautiful sunsets from the rooftops, and more...
Naima, her daughter Nada, and her staff always made sure we were not missing anything. They catered to all our dietary requirements, private taxi transport, little excursions, private Moroccan party, hammam inside the riad, and the list goes on.
We would like to especially thank Khadidja who made it so special and not for a single moment lost her smile.
In summary, our experience staying at Riad Mayo was nothing short of magical. From the mesmerizing ambiance to the exceptional service, every aspect exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable Moroccan experience, we wholeheartedly recommend booking a stay at this riad. It will provide you with a sanctuary of beauty, tranquility, and warm...
Read moreWe rented Riad Mayo for 2 weeks in May. 2 different groups of women came for a yoga retreat. They were all – without exception- totally exited about the place. Riad Mayo has it all...different places to do yoga en breathwork : the rooftop for morning and evening practice, with an amazing view on the impressive Atlas Mountains; a yurt for sessions during the day when the sun is at its highest; and a shady place next to the Riad. There is also an idyllic place for a campfire and a relaxing swimming pool to refresh and rest. The garden is full of olive and palmtrees, rosemary bushes, roses, hibiscus and bougainvilla in all possible colours. Apricots, peaches, oranges, apples and lemons...everything is freshly picked out of the garden. There is a variety of meals, prepared by a lovely cooking crew that not only knows the Morrocan, but also the Malaysian and the Italian cuisine. Naïma and Nada and the whole staff are an example of friendliness and hospitality. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and diner at a lovely spot between the grapevines, slept in warm big beds and woke up with the sun and the sound of birds. We went home reluctantly, but relaxed and reborn and with a a warm and full heart. One thing is certain : we found our second home in Morocco! Riad...
Read moreI stayed at the Riad Mayo with a group and I do not think this box is big enough for what I have to say about this place. The service and kindness of the staff was second to none and nothing was a big ask.
Most of our holiday was already budgeted and planned, however on the occasions where we went off menu or off plan the Riad accommodated us. I felt extremely at home here, and since we were literally off grid anything that was not in the Riad was obtained for us from outside. I felt extremely safe given that the Riad is so large. There was enough space to gather and socialise but also to take a minute and the views by yourself as needed.
I would especially like to thank Khadija for my excellent hammam experience and Naima and Nada for their impeccable hospitality.
My only niggle was that the wifi was a little weak and I would have liked a safe in the rooms if I was to stay with other guests sharing the accommodation. But apart from that I would definitely visit again if I wanted a place to relax and unwind and collect...
