Kasbah Aït Ben Damiette — Hotel in caïdat de Skoura

Stayed here with family in Dec 2023.||Stopped here overnight on the way to the desert…but in retrospect I wish we had stayed longer.||The location is in the Skoura Palmeraie. And the location is surrounded by lovely local mud and stone houses and thousands of palms. The hotel itself is a little taller than the surroundings and affords lovely sunset views across the palmeraie.||Our room was a large suite with atmospheric Moroccan styling. Everything was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Only thing I could complain about is that the lighting could be a little brighter, but this was a problem across the many hotels in Morocco.||The dinner and breakfast were both superb and our compliments to the chef. And also the service was absolutely impeccable, and made us feel at home from the moment we walked in.||I wish I had stayed here at a warmer time of year so that I could jump into that inviting pool. ||Overall, I really liked this...

Incredible service!! It feels like the staff was trained at a French Michelin star restaurant. Not only the table setting, the service etiquette, and overall presentation was incredible but also their manners and wiliness to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend having dinner here as well since it was such a welcome surprise to have dinner ready after our long drive. The rooms were great, super clean and spacious, I wish we had more time to enjoy the pool. Overall, this place is incredible, comfortable, and clean, but was makes it special is the staff running it. This is a lovely family-run guesthouse based on an old Kasbah. We had an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast during a bus trip with friends. This was about half-way between Merzouga and Marrakesh. ||We were warmly welcomed and had an excellent home-cooked evening meal and breakfast (with choice of omelettes!).||Our hosts gave very personal care. For example, they were able to accommodate the specific dietary needs of one of our group who had a food allergy.
