Maison d'hôtes Tamatart — Hotel in caïdat de Souk Lakhmis

Hussein and his family are awesome hosts and give great insights into the life of a Berber family. The rooms incl. private bathrooms are beautiful and clean and we liked the patio, where we were served meals, too. Dinner was a typical Moroccan homemade dish - wonderful. We would stay at this place anytime again! Abdel, the son of the family, joined us as a hiking guide for a 3d trek to the Atlas mountains. He shared his knowhow about the lives of Berber, nomads and the nature with us and did everything to make sure we were at ease and were having a great time - what we indeed did. Strongly recommend this place! The entire Family was so welcome and showed us a great hospitality. We got to know a bit of Berber culture. The meals they were serving were amazing. They were very supportive during our stay. It is a great place outside of big hotels where you can feel the personal touch. I recommend it as a starting base when visiting Todra and Dades gorges.
