My family and I stayed in this hotel for two nights, it was me, my husband, my sister and my parents. My mum is on a manual wheelchair. We stayed in 2 rooms however I believe there is a family room available. ||||This place had breathtaking views and the service was very hospitable and friendly. The staff were always willing to help we were taken care of by Abdullah and Fateha, she personally tucked my mum in to bed! Abdullah had good english, we had no commuication issues with him other staff members mostly just spoke french and arabic. The staff and owner were extremely accommodating.||||The restaurant was great food was lovely however it took a really long time, so if you're staying there I suggest you tell them what you want and what time you want it which we did on the second day. Wifi was great in the restaurant but not in the rooms, I had a data plan on a local sim I got from the airport (which I would recommend) but my family didn't and they would just use wifi when we went for breakfast and dinner or on the balcony of the rooms. ||||One room had a queen bed and two singles alongside a sofa set the other had a queen bed alongisde a sofa set. ||||There were plenty of rooms accessible by car on the ground floor and there were some on a basement level that was also accessible by wheel chair via a semi steep ramp. This wasn't suitable for us as my mum is too heavy for us to wheel her down a ramp but a lighter person or an electric wheelchair would be fine. The only issue for a wheelchair user may be the bathroom which has one step but aside from that the whole property was great and perfectly accessible. ||||This hotel was my families favourite part...
Read moreWe found the place via maps.me. The room was more expensive than the average we paid in the region, but it was large and looked comfy. After a nice hike in the mountains we considered staying an extra night, but in the morning we decided otherwise. Once in the bed we were ok, but taking a shower in the evening and in the morning in a freezing cold bathroom was not a nice experience. There was a small heater in the room which we had on full power since 4pm and the staff lit a couple of logs in the fire place in the room whilst we were having dinner, but their was ice cold air coming in from the door during the entire night. We recommend to review the isolation and maybe put a few warm rugs on the floor during the winter period. One other improvement would be the service at the restaurant which was extremely slow whilst we ordered dinner in advance. At breakfast we waited more than half a hour just to get a coffee and then another 15 minutes to get the food. The food was nice, so worth the wait, but you may want to consider travellers who are on a schedule or booked a tour. A score of 3 out of 5 may be severe, but there is quite some room for improvements and overall I believe the place has a lot of potential to...
Read moreI stayed here for two nights as part of a birdwatching group visiting the High Atlas. I've stayed in several hotels in the area previously and Aurocher is by far and away the best of the bunch. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, with a nice, hot, shower. I imagine they can get a little cold in the winter but there is a radiator and a log fire can be lit if needed. ||||The staff bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. The standard of the food was excellent, served in a clean, spacious dining room in the evening or up on the terrace in the day. The terrace has amazing views across the valley, and there is also a trail (with a second one in development) that takes you across the valley and up through the hotel's small plot of farmland (where many of the hotel's apples, quinces, herbs etc come from). Anyone visiting for birdwatching will be interested to know there are a host of species in the hotel grounds – including Levaillant's Green Woodpecker and Maghreb Tawny Owl. The ski resort of Oukaimeden is a short 30-minute drive away. At the end of our short stay, the group didn't want to leave, and I am looking forward to...
