L'Ermitage is a magical location. I got to know it thanks to social media and decided to visit it on my last trip to Morocco, where I was touring the north. ||I highly recommend anyone visiting Chefchaouen to pay a visit to this space. It is less than half an hour from this little town. It has nothing to do with the rest of the country and in my case in particular put the finishing touch to end my trip.||If you go without a car it is easy to get very close to L'Ermitage and contact them to pick you up on the last part of the way to the complex. ||I would recommend spending at least 3 nights here. The chalets are not only beautiful on the outside, but also very comfortable inside and very spacious. Very comfortable mattress and pillows, BTW! ||The place is wonderful, it has beautiful gardens with lots of special places to disconnect and a river that crosses the entire property that is also full of magical and wonderful corners with hammocks hanging over the water, or loungers where you can lie down quietly to read a book listening to the sound of the river. There are also tables with chairs strategically placed in different parts of the river where you can also sit and read, have a drink or chat quietly. ||If you don't want to coincide with anyone and take your stay to relax and connect with nature, you are in the right place, but equally if you are accompanied, your experience will be memorable.||I also find the space perfect as a location for retreats. In fact, during my stay I coincided with one of these groups. ||Families and children will also enjoy this place very much. Hiking activities are available and the setting is wonderful for a lot of nature activities. You can see natural bridges, waterfalls and wonderful scenery. ||I will definitely repeat on any other trip in the north of the country. I shared content on social networks about this place and many people asked me about it. They could not believe I was in Morocco, a country of contrasts where you can find wonders like these if you like to go off the beaten path. ||Highly recommended. My experience was wonderful. The food was phenomenal and I especially remember the breakfasts. I'm a fan of spending a long time having breakfast in slow mode in hotels, but here you do it with the perfect backdrop. Clearly I will be back. ||My recommendation is that you do not hesitate. Do yourself a favor and book! You will come back as good as new after spending a...

L'Ermitage is a magical location. I got to know it thanks to social media and decided to visit it on my last trip to Morocco, where I was touring the north.

I highly recommend anyone visiting Chefchaouen to pay a visit to this space. It is less than half an hour from this little town. It has nothing to do with the rest of the country and in my case in particular put the finishing touch to end my trip.

If you go without a car it is easy to get very close to L'Ermitage and contact them to pick you up on the last part of the way to the complex.

I would recommend spending at least 3 nights here. The chalets are not only beautiful on the outside, but also very comfortable inside and very spacious.

If you don't want to coincide with anyone and take your stay to relax and connect with nature, you are in the right place, but equally if you are accompanied, your experience will be memorable.

I also find the space perfect as a location for retreats.

Paradisiac place, enjoyable experience in the middle of the heaven of Akchour. You get to enjoy the river and the landscapes in a private serviced space. Things that can be improved by the hotel:

  1. The food (negative impact on our experience!! Too bad) Dinner was bad for the expectations that the guests have from the prices and the quality of the place). We ordered a steak, but got two chewy pieces of meat, and we ordered pasta and had a not even average quality of the sauce (the pasta you will see in the pictures is supposed to be Alfredo sauce, but got creamy mushroom instead). The salads were small portions and overpriced.
  2. There was no fridge in the rooms. We had to put our drinks in a plastic bag and take them with us to the river to cool down.
  3. The staff are friendly, but hard to recognize, they could wear uniforms or at least the logo of the hotel in their shirt to recognize them. We were randomly approached by people that we later knew that were staff.
  4. There was no brochure in the chalets illustrating the different services we could get at the hotel (massages, Yoga, etc.)
  5. Toilets have some holes in the ground and wall that could have easily been hidden or covered and join the beautiful Esthetique of the chalets

We definitely recommend the experience, and will come back again, hoping that these things have been...

The overall experience is good even though there were some amazing things and some huge flaws! Starting with the positive: 1) you have the chance to connect with nature in an outstanding scenary 2) the place is calm and you can relax and chill 3) it’s somehow an enhanced experience since you don’t get bothered by random strangers or merchants. 4) some of the stuff are friendly but some are unprofessional! The things we experienced somehow badly are: 1) food is a big flop.. as much as i do recommend the place for its experience.. i would recommand you to bring some food or try to get some from outside.. I ordered the beef filet and insisted on the well done cooking (two or three times).. at the end i got a medium rare.. and when i sent it back to the kitchen, they cooked it badly.. at the end i had two pieces of shewy meat.. and surprisingly an overheated plate with a burned layer over the mashed potatoes and veggies.. the pasta my friends ordered was badly made.. the seafood one had a not even well seasoned sauce and the alfredo was not an alfredo! Even though it is hard to make a bad breakfast.. it was surprisingly the case! 2) again, some of the staff were big time unprofessional.. need some training… 3) a kids club may be put in place very easily.. hope that the management will consider that! Hope that next time the flaws will be corrected!

False advertising. Very disappointing to find out that all spa facilities were closed, there is not a lot to do apart from relaxing, it is advertised that WiFi is only in common areas, however there’s no service for your phone (4G) which should also be advertised as you cannot even make calls, so you would at least expect there to be other activities and facilities for their guests. When we arrived, we were expecting to use their pool and Spa Facilities especially because we’re in the middle of nowhere and we were met with everything being out of service to use except massage which they only had a man to do. You’d think in a country such as Morocco, there would be women to give massages to women. When asked why we were not informed, they said “it’s written on our Instagram”. We booked on Expedia, what makes you think we’re checking your Instagram? The cherry on top of the cake is the breakfast being extremely basic, hard bread and basic minimal options. Otherwise, the views were dreamy. Absolutely beautiful, waking up to birds tweeting and flowers growing everywhere, plants and vegetables growing. It was so so beautiful. The night seating with fairy lights under the trees and tents were stunning and very relaxing.
