After a long drive from Marrakesh and through the Draa Valley we arrived at Kasbah dar Hnini. This is a newly built hotel in the Moroccan Kasbah style with four towers. We were here two nights and explored the surrounding villages and the Oued Drea River (the longest river in Morocco). The rooms were spacious, with a well-equipped bathroom that had ample hot water and good pressure. Given the isolated nature of the hotel, we had dinner at the hotel, which consisted of a traditional Moroccan fare of soup and tagine with rice and fruit for dessert. I would rate the food as fair. The service was excellently provided by the manager, Mustafa. The next morning Mustafa took on a tour of the adjoining village and a walk along the Oued Drea River…not to be missed.
