Having read somewhat mixed reviews, I just had to visit Hotel De France to see for myself.||I'm glad I did.||The room was excellent. Huge. Two double beds, one at each end of the room with a curtain divider (if you needed it). ||The bed was very comfortable. Slept like a log. Apart from when a group of oiks somewhere about the hotel started chattering and bellowing at three o-clock in the morning. You can't blame the hotel for that though. Just my misfortune.||The room seemed brand new. Clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower.||Location. Less than five minutes from the top of the cascades. A very pleasant walk through a couple of fields. I did read in one revue someone complaining that it was so dark they couldn't find their way back to the hotel. I took a torch. I needed it. It was very dark indeed, even though the moon was out. I could always have come back along the well lit road, of course, but where's the adventure in that.||Breakfast was delicious. Very Moroccan with a great lump of bread, a choice of spreads, and a tasty cup of coffee.||I would seriously recommend this place.||Almost forgot.. The pool is splendid. But it was empty. Not surprised though as I was here in November. Hardly...

The room was a bit dated but well equipped and very clean. Everything I needed for a comfortable stay was there. The location is great – just a short walk from the famous Ouzoud waterfalls, yet quiet and relaxing.
The hotel also has a lovely garden area that adds to the peaceful atmosphere.
All in all, a good place to stay if you're visiting the falls and looking for warm hospitality in a simple,...
