This was the stop after a long day of travel from Fes, as part of the desert tour.||||Room:||We got a pretty large room so there was plenty of space to stretch out. Bed was comfortable and there were thick blankets. There is one A/C unit keeping the room temperature not too cold but it can only do so much to push the air around (hence the blankets since some spots in the room is warmer than others). As a result the bathroom is a little on the cold side but nothing some hot water won't fix! Not sure if it was because it was late or they ran out (saw a solar water tank on the rooftop deck) the hot water got cold towards the end of the shower. Fortunately was able to finish and not sure if it was specific to our room but not a deal breaker.||||Location:||It is located basically across the dunes were they will take you by camel into the desert camps. But where this is located is in a residential area where the locals (and camels) live. So if you're the type that wants to explore and see what's around, you will not see much on foot around the hotel, especially after dark. If you have access to a vehicle you can get back on the main highway and there were a few other eateries maybe 5min drive away but other than that, you're staying on site (and they provide plenty of food).||||Intangibles:||After the onsite dinner in the common area, the same friendly staffs cleared the tables and then proceeded to give us a music show. It helped to provide some entertainment in a remote area and also was fun to see. Afterwards they of course invited...

The room was not really bad actually. But,the air conditioner was broken in my room, you know the temperature was over 45 degree in day time and over 30 degree at night. That was terrible on day 1. Luckily, they were willing to change another room on day 2. Meanwhile, I found that the hygiene risk from foods seriously. They put the foods on the table without protection when I had breakfast in the morning especially yogurts. Some flies had landed on it. Unfortunately, I got sick after that breakfast. I was suffering from food posion within 24 hours. I was really unhappy and disappointed because it was just the beginning of my trip in Merzouga. I could not go around to visit and I changed my trip to go back Marrakech finally. Beside, there were people including staff who were smoking shisha and cigarettes at rooftop and garden of the hotel. It was not good for tourists.||Anyway, I still want to thank you for the girl in the kitchen, who made a light food. I could recover my body quickly. ||I really hope that they can improve their quality of service for foods...

Our stay at L’Homme du Désert was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
The hotel perfectly blends comfort with an authentic desert experience. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated in traditional Berber style, and impeccably clean. The outdoor areas, especially the terrace and pool, provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring.
One of the highlights was the delicious home-cooked meals—every dish was full of rich flavors, and dining under the starry desert sky made it even more special.
