My recent stay at Tiziri Camp in Morocco was nothing short of extraordinary. This unique and eco-friendly desert retreat is the perfect fusion of luxury, adventure, and sustainability. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning landscape, exceptional service, and warm hospitality that Tiziri Camp had to offer. Nestled amidst the breathtaking dunes, Tiziri Camp has made a commendable effort to preserve the natural environment while providing all the modern comforts one could desire. Solar panels power the entire camp, and the use of eco-friendly materials in the construction and maintenance of the property is evident throughout. It's truly inspiring to see a travel destination that prioritizes both the planet and its guests. The location of Tiziri Camp is unparalleled. Surrounded by majestic sand dunes, the camp offers awe-inspiring views and an unmatched sense of tranquility. It's a haven for anyone seeking to connect with nature, unwind, and create lasting memories. The staff at Tiziri Camp were genuinely warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. Their passion for the camp and the surrounding area was evident, and they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was unforgettable. From personalized recommendations for local excursions to creating exquisite dining experiences under the stars, the team at Tiziri Camp made every moment special. The facilities at Tiziri Camp are designed to cater to every guest's needs. The beautifully appointed tents are both comfortable and luxurious, providing a sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation. The en-suite bathrooms, plush linens, and elegant decor create an ambiance of indulgence amidst the rugged beauty of the desert landscape. One of the highlights of my stay was the diverse range of activities available at Tiziri Camp. From camel rides to guided hikes, stargazing sessions, and immersive cultural experiences, there was no shortage of opportunities to create cherished memories. As a travel influencer, I can confidently say that Tiziri Camp offers an unparalleled experience for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts alike. In conclusion, my time at Tiziri Camp was a magical journey that I will never forget. The combination of eco-friendliness, attentive service, a stunning location, and amazing staff makes it a destination that stands out in the world of luxury travel. I wholeheartedly recommend Tiziri Camp to anyone seeking a unique and memorable experience in the beautiful Moroccan desert.

Luxury at its best in the desert. We started out with 2 nights stay at Tiziri and finished with 4 nights! It was a perfect oasis to enjoy some downtime and completely disconnect from life for a few days. We arrived by camels to the camp, it was the perfect way to start our stay, riding camels through the Sahara desert at sunset. The camels were very well cared for and surprisingly the ride was very comfortable and the views were incredible. The colours of the desert were mesmerising. Upon arriving to Tiziri Camp your mind is blown, it really is a luxury camp in the desert, only 6 tents so very intimate and the atmosphere was instant serenity. Our tent was so beautiful, with the most comfortable bed, so cosy and warm. The tents have everything you need. You are spoilt with lovely electric blankets and a hot water bottle to keep you warm. Lovely warm shower as it does get cold overnight, but once the sun rises you enjoy amazing blue sky days and endless sunshine. The camp is so peaceful during the day, you welcome the relaxation and take in the views, the sanddunes are so picturesque. You can even enjoy an afternoon wine in the desert! Sunrises and sunsets go without saying, they are magical and bonus the sun rises from 7.30am in Morocco so you even get to sleep in. The food was fabulous, you definitely don't go hungry, breakfast is a beautiful spread of everything you can think of and 3 course dinner. We even skipped lunch to try and squeeze dinner in. During the evenings after dinner, the staff all get together around a beautiful warm fire and you enjoy local music and learning about Berber life, it was truly magical including the star gazing. The team at Tiziri were wonderful and nothing was too much, they were always available to satisfy your requests and continually surprised you with tea and Moroccan treats throughout the day. We were even fortunate to experience the making (and eating) Berber pizza in a neighbouring camp, it was a beautiful experience. Tiziri was also set deeper in the desert and much more remote than other camps, you really felt like the desert was all yours. We loved the camp so much we would book again in a heartbeat, you were warmly welcomed by all staff and it's great to see they are taking an eco friendly approach and doing their best to keep the deserts in their pristine state. Thank you so much for having us and don't think twice if you are considering Tiziri you won't be disappointed.

My family (children ages 14 and 20), and two of our friends, stayed in Tiziri Camp for two nights over New Year’s Eve, and then went on a two-night Sahara Desert trek organized by the camp. While the location of the camp is stunning, it was the staff that really made the trip magical. With all the warm easy-going personalities, and ever-present Berber sense of humor (don’t be afraid to play along!), it was a joy to be around camp. While we had a great day tour around the area, a more enduring memory is interacting with everyone at the camp: dancing and joking around the campfire at night, playing cards, attempting to sand board, and trying to make highlight reel jumps off sand dunes trying to catch a frisbee. The best experience of all, however, was listening to ‘Desert Blues’, a fusion of American Blues and North African music, played by the camp staff under the stars of the Sahara. Truly amazing! The camp itself is small compared to other camps in the area, which contributes greatly to its charm. The tents are luxurious. Four of us stayed in one tent, which was a little crowded, but comfortable. However, with all the great open spaces around the camp outside, the tents were really only for sleeping. The food was a treat, a great change from our steady diet of nightly Tagines that had been our staple diet while in Morocco. If you are up for an unforgettable adventure, take an overnight trek into the desert organized by the camp (we went for two nights). Be warned, though, it’s not for everyone. While the distances were not that long (we didn’t start walking until after 10 am and had 3 hr lunch breaks each day), and terrain largely flat (even when in the dunes), the pace is quick and the sand difficult to walk in at times. Our guides Hammid and Mohamed were amazing. Their knowledge of the desert, together with their sense of humor and cooking skills (food was great!) made the trek much more than just a walk in the desert. Watching them manage the camel personalities (hi Bob Marley!) was very much like a parent trying to keep their rambunctious children in line. Our time at Tiziri Camp was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. My only regret is not staying there longer!

Words cannot truly describe the experience of Tiziri. We had a 5 day trip through the Atlas Mountains, Todra Gorge and then a two night stay in Tiziri Camp in the Sahara Desert.

Regarding the preparation: Aicha was incredible in about 100 emails back and forth to organise the specifics of the trip and was very quick at responding and accommodating our requests. The trip wouldn’t have been the same without Aicha’s suggestions, recommendations and guidance through the process. ️

We were picked up by our incredible guide, Hssaine, in an air conditioned 4x4 straight from our riad. The following 5 days we learnt so much about Moroccan culture, nomads, Berbers and were taught lots of small phrases.

Along the way, Hssaine gave us many options of what we could do, and we were free to refuse or ask for others so never felt even close to being pressured or like we were even on a tour.

Having a driver and a guide is completely indispensable and I would recommend anyone to do this - he navigated some roadworks and more remote areas expertly and knew all the “off the grid” places which were not able to be found on guides.

Hssaine helped us to translate, navigate well and he knew all the places to go (as well as those to avoid) so that we were treated to the very best of Moroccan hospitality throughout the whole trip.

Ait Benhaddou and Kasbah Tebi is truly incredible - no electricity and you feel as though you’re transported centuries back. The Kasbah was used for filming Game of Thrones and Gladiator, amongst others.

Auberge Le Festival is a hotel built into the rocks of Todra Gorge and has some incredible cave rooms (where you sleep in a cave, albeit a luxurious one).

Tiziri camp itself is an inimitable experience. After a long camel ride over Erg Chebbi you arrive to the camp after sunset - the whole experience is meditative and upon arrival you’re greeted with mint tea and snacks. The four course dinner was very good and a modern twist on Moroccan food. After dinner, the camp team set up rugs outside and played music for us - one evening we all joined in as well!

The tents themselves are luxurious - good bedsheets, lots of space, a loo and shower. Every night they give you a frozen bottle of water so you have cool water and a constant supply of snacks.

We went in summer so it was very hot - Hmad organised for us to spend the day out of the camp and by a pool, as well as visiting some nearby nomads who welcomed us with tea and food. In the evening we played with the sand boards (harder than it seems) and were taken with a 4x4 to drive over the dunes and watch the sunset.

Another must do experience is the sand bread demonstration - remarkable and delicious! The whole time Hssaine was with us when we asked him to be, and helped show us around the nomad camp and explained the culture.

We felt like guests in Morocco rather than tourists and speaking to others, it seems as though we were lucky enough to experience things not typically on the tourist trail, as well as lots which are of course!

There are many more things to write but all I will say is that it was one of the most unforgettable experiences and we highly recommend...

We travelled to Morocco for 3 weeks with our two children at the end of June 2025. We stayed one night in the desert, at the Tiziri annex camp. We also used their private transportation service for the full duration of our trip. ||Annex camp - Our night in the desert was in early July, during low season, when the regular camp is not open because of the heat. We therefore stayed at the annex camp, located in Merzouga. We were concerned that we wouldn’t get the same desert experience at the annex camp, but we absolutely loved it. We arrived around 6:00 p.m, and left the next morning at 9:00 a.m., since it was too hot for outdoor activities between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We had a nice spacious tent which was perfect for our family of four. All of the meals were served in a common air conditioned tent nearby. The food was very good and it was obvious that the staff worked hard to make sure that every detail was taken care of. While a one night stay was not very long to soak it all in, we were able to enjoy the camel ride at sunset, music by the fire at night, and woke up early the next day to catch the sunrise. ||Private transportation - We made a last minute decision to book private transportation for the full duration of our 3-week trip. This was possible due to the fact that it was low season and didn’t require booking many months in advance. The service included not only the transportation between the cities we were visiting (Casablanca - Chefchaouen - Fez - Ifrane - Mergouza - Dades Valley - Marrakech - Essaouira), but also any transportation required during our leisure days. From the moment we arrived at the airport in Casablanca, until the very end of our trip, our driver/guide Hsayn was amazing. He was happy to follow our beat and to remain available to drive us anywhere we wanted to go, all the while providing us with recommendations for things to do in the different cities we visited. We learned so much about Morocco through him (history, culture, etc.) and felt comfortable asking him all of our questions. He would find the best spots to make short stops to enjoy the beautiful scenery and to take pictures. We definitely got to see some great places that we would have missed, but for him. Our daughter required a vaccine during the trip, and Hsayn went out of his way to find and bring us to the appropriate clinics. He was very kind and funny, and we really enjoyed travelling around the country with him.||Moha from Tiziri Camp took care of the booking process for both the annex camp and the private transportation. He was quick to answer all of my emails, and always provided clear information on the different services offered and the prices. Different payment options were available, including using Wise, which was practical. Overall, we are very pleased with our experience. A big thank you to Hsayn,...
