We arrived in Tazzarine from Merzouga. This hotel looked great from the pics but sadly not so! Whilst my partner was checking in I was shown to the room and headed straight for the bathroom after 4 hour drive. Only to find the whole shower bowl crawling with cockroaches. There were black spots all over the floor (obviously cockroach droppings).||I went back to reception and told my partner, our guide and the owner came back to the room. He was saying that cockroaches are no big deal, fetched a can of insectiside and sprayed. He also told us that it was the only room with working air conditioning. An hour passed and we checked the bathroom and there were more than before. The final straw was when we saw a few crawling over the bedroom floor.||We fetched the guide (who had to translate) to tell the guy we wanted to stay elsewhere. Looking very put out he showed us a couple of different rooms for us to choose one.||These seemed clean and we managed to sleep ok. I did not have any dinner at the hotel as the cockroaches put me off eating.||The next morning they tried to overcharge us. They included us paying dinner for myself and our guide. Charging us in Euros and then converting it which came to much more than the rack rate. So it does not make any sense booking!||As if having cockroaches is not bad enough, the worst thing was that they were not interested in sorting out the problem, customer service does not exsist.||These were the only cockroaches we encountered in 11 days....

I was asked 290 MAD for one person and for many reasons (mostly, I was tired) I accepted.||12Km away there is Camp Serdrar and I wish I had returned there (great hospitality).||Long story short, I was kept awake by loud, distorted live music coming from the bar from 8 pm to almost 1am, when I confronted the "manager" for the third (third) time. He agreed to make the music stop immediately when I offered that I would leave immediately and drive into the night.||Before this guy lied by saying that he would make the music stop at midnight.||Then, aggressively, he offered to solve the problem by making me change room, to another one 20 yards away.||I couldn't really rest well because of the confrontation, even after the music finally stopped.||Water, by the way, was lukewarm at most in the morning. I left without having the included breakfast after waiting for my change to come. The manager still asked for a full payment of 290 MAD, which I paid, waiting forever for my change. ||On the positive side of things, internet connection was great (I was the only guest).||||Worst hospitality in Morocco (I've been around...
