La fiancée du vent — Hotel in Essaouira

Just like others who have reviewed this location we also had a terrible experience with the owner and regret booking this villa.

The actual villa is largely nice and clean, however the negatives far out way the photogenic nature of the accommodation.

There are serious safety issues which the owner is not willing to address, when we brought them up she would just say "other children have been fine".

I have included a video of one with a gun mounted to a wall with a wobbly screw, when my 2 year old son touched it the heavy (~8kg) gun fell on him, instead of apologizing for having an unsafe gun we were charged 100 euros.

A single clip on a pool light got snapped, likely from someone kicking it, we saw it upon arrival, however because we didn't instantly report it again we had to pay.

Half way through our say the owner started aggressively messaging us demanding payment for weird damages (such as the gun), if we didn't pay our holiday was over, so we had no choice to pay. The way she spoke and threatened us via our phones ruined our entire holiday.

The pool ruined our clothing by turning it yellow, this is from a buildup of iron in the water than can irritate eyes and sensitive skin, thankfully we didn't experience any medical issues, hopefully others were as lucky as us. We were scared to even say anything at this point after the communication was so aggressively hostile from the owner, so we just moved on to try and enjoy our holiday.

There are a lot of cockroaches, however I accept that these are likely hard to contain in that hot climate, so I don't blame them, but you do hear them walking around the floor while trying to sleep.

The on site staff were lovely, the food was fantastic, it's just a shame about the owner ruining it for everyone.

Unfortunately our group of friends and i had a terrible experience with the host. Sadly she was very disrespectful and mean, decided to cancel our stay at the last minute without any apologies but instead was very rude and suggested we should rent somewhere else where the host is used to ‘hosting our type of people’ which in my opinion is very racist being told that as moroccans by a french person. The group was extremely polite and respectful in the way they handled the communication with the host, Nathalie, when she in return was very unpleasant and inappropriate in her response to us and in the way she terminated our booking. Would not recommend this place...

J'ai été le 1er locataire il y a plus que 5 ans. La villa était déjà très bien. Depuis, j'y suis retourné tous les ans, même 2 fois par année. La villa n'a cessée d'évoluer. J'y suis allé en juillet, août, décembre, avril, janvier et toujours le même plaisir. J'y suis allé à 2, 6 et 10 personnes sans jamais me sentir l'un sur l'autre. J'ai toujours été bien acceuilli, bien renseigné. Kaltoume est une perle. Gentille, excellente cuisinière et très à l'écoute de vos besoins. La piscine est toujours chauffée, le golf est remarquable. Moi qui voyage beaucoup, le rapport prix prestation est exceptionnel. Si vous voulez rester tranquille à la villa, allez vous faire plaisir dans la très belle ville d'Essaouira ou faire un golf, c'est l'endroit idéal. Vivement mes...
