We are a family (2 adults, 2 kids) that enjoyed the stay in Fès Inn. Not everything was perfect, but I still recommend this hotel. Pros: Staff are great and supportive calm area breakfast tolerable: Sausage, Cheese, Cornflakes, Cake, Croissant, Jam, Coffee, Milk, kind of a baguette, "msamman" (moroccan bread)
Cons: For those who want a close stay to old medina: 5 km away to old city, taxi costs approx. 18 Dirham and 25 Dirham after 8 pm (June 2024). pool is outside hotel complex, you need to cross a street breakfast is just an "ok" with potential to rise
A tip for your stay: Most Moroccan cities have two kind of taxi, the petit taxi (small taxi) and grand taxi (big taxi). Small taxi: they ONLY carry three passengers, if you are four, you need to take two taxis, YES, it's true. On the other hand, petit taxis use taximeter. Without this meter means they don't have a taxi license, period. Don't fall into the trick the taximeter is broken. But it's allowed to agree on a price before driving to your Destination. Again, from hotel to old city approx. 18 Dirhams (June 2024). One can say that petit taxi is cheap. It's normal that petit taxi will take other passengers heading to same direction. They cannot leave the city and not taking you from/to airport.
Grand taxi, it's not a multi-share taxi, no taximeter, up to six people allowed, can do inter-city transfers, drive to airport. Default price set by authorities is 120 Dirhams to/from airport. But everyone told me 200 as first price. I replied that I know the price of 120 and they usually say ok. By the way, it's allowed for them to say 200 Dirham, it's counted as negotiated but not to go under 120.

Read moreHello I am writing to make a complaint regarding The Fes Inn & Spa Hotel located at 47 Rue Boujdour, Fez 30000 Morocco which we stayed at from January 1-3 2025. At which time I hung up my brand new short black leather jacket and a long maxi dress red with a design pattern on it. I know exactly where I put it and can even describe the type of hanger I hung it up on in the hanging side of a two sliding door closet. I know this because not only was it the only time I hung anything up during the trip, but also because the other side of the closet had the safe and extra pillows in it. I spoke with our group leader who then called the Fes Hotel ASAP. They claimed they looked and nothing was there. This is impossible as I can give you any details needed and I'm 100% sure it was there when we left. I also did a search online to call myself (even though they did not speak english very well). When I did so I came across more reviews about the hotel, some which described the SAME exact thing happen to them. Stating that the hotel steals stuff that is left behind. There NEEDS to be something done about this. Very disappointing especially since we stayed at numerous hotels on our 13 day journey around Morocco but this one was one that we stayed 2 nights at. ||DO NOT TO STAY AT...
Read moreThe rooms are beautiful, the food is delicious, but the SPA experience was very disappointing. I purchased the “Formula” package, which was supposed to include a Hammam and a 35-minute massage. The Hammam procedure itself was performed in a very unpleasant manner. The woman conducting it kept disappearing, and when she returned, she would rush through the required steps. There was no traditional foamy wash typical of a Hammam—she simply applied soap, and I had to wash myself. When pouring water, she consistently used water that was too hot. Communication in English was difficult.
Because the Hammam was so poorly done, I checked the time before going in for the massage. The massage lasted only 20 minutes. Then the masseuse disappeared again and, upon returning, told me I had to leave. It was hard to relax. I do not recommend this service—it’s definitely not worth 60 euros. Look for other...
