Tldr: Spend your money elsewhere! Worst hotel and dinner experience I ever had.
We encountered only issues, rudeness and rip off during our stay here.
The positive things about this hotel are the nice views and rooms, and the staff at the pool, the rest is full of management issues and so not worth its money.
I. Conversion rate: We were told we would be charged 600 EUR for transfer, camel ride, quad ride and city tax. They converted it to 6600 MAD while correct conversion would have been 6200 MAD, ending them up with a nice 400 MAD additionally.
II. Quad ride Our first quad ride was cut short to 30 minutes, after arguing for in total surely over 2 hours with at least 7 different people, we finally got a proper quad ride that was amazing and made up for all the trouble. Thanks Toufik!
III. Worst dinner experience ever Our second dinner was a complete fiasco. We waited for a bottle of water for 45 minutes and had to remind them 3 times. There was not one thing right with any of our dishes. Olives were served after one hour. A Diet Coke we ordered took 2 hours to come. The Harira soup came without a spoon, it finally came after two reminders when the soup was already cold. One of us ordered the émincé de poulet et champignons, it was not mentioned that it contained cheese and cream (or any other allergic remarks) and is just the exact same sauce that comes with spaghetti in another dish. After sending it back it came back with even more cream. We ended up having to argue for 1 hour to get our friend another dish on the house. We started dinner at 19:30, she got her dish at 22:45. The vegetarian couscous tfaya came without tfaya or broth and was very dry, when they finally brought the tfaya and broth - after again urging them several times - the dish was already cold. We were freezing during the whole dinner because all heaters were broken. When we got the bill, they still included the dish on the house and two beer we had not even ordered because they ran out of it. We had to ask them several times to correct the bill.
IV. Check in You will not be let into your room before 3pm. Check in took until 4 pm when we finally received our luggage.
V. Prices Prices are extremely high, with starters between 8-20 EUR, mains between 15-20 EUR and non-alcoholic cocktails at 120 MAD (!). You will only get one 1.5 l water bottle for your room, no matter how many people and how many nights you’re staying. Water bottles are 45 MAD (!). The food in total is very medium, very not worth the high prices.
VI. Others Wifi is basically non functioning, bad network coverage as well.
I would strongly recommend to not stay at this hotel unless you don’t value your money, honesty and spending your time not arguing with people. If you insist on coming, make sure to bring your own water, check every bill and insist on getting an hour of quad ride and camel ride because they will try to get the best of you any chance they get. If you really must come, come for the day and enjoy the pool and the nice waiters there, we had no...
Read moreThe location is wonderful but the organisation is among the worst I have ever experienced.
Their camp is the farest one in Agafay, which adds to its charm but makes it difficult to access, especially with their disorganized transfer service. We booked their transfer to reach the camp but the driver misunderstood the meeting point, so he waited for us a few minutes on the wrong spot and then left without notifying us. When we complained with the hotel, they blamed us instead of apologizing or offering help. To avoid losing our prepaid night, we were forced to hire a private transfer, which costs double the price of their service. Most taxis refused to go there due to the distance. When we arrived it was too late to participate in the activities offered by the hotel, leaving us with a disappointing, half-hearted experience.
For the return trip, I needed to leave earlier than my friends and requested a transfer in the morning. They only had two options, one too early (9 am) and one too late (12 pm) for my needs. Since I was the only person in the transfer, I kindly asked if they could adjust the timing slightly to accomodate me, but they were completely inflexible and rude in their response. The transfer is not complimentary - I paid 40€ on top of the room cost.
The morning of departure, I went to have breakfast at 8 am, but they informed me breakfast would only be available after 8:30 am. This left me rushing to eat something quickly and get ready in time for the early transfer. How can you impose an inflexible transfer schedule without considering guests need time for breakfast beforehand?
The final disappointment came when I requested assistance with my luggage before leaving (the tents are quite far from reception). No one showed up despite my request. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to rush to the reception with my luggage myself to avoid missing the paid transfer. I have never encountered such poor service at any hotel I’ve stayed at.
Aldo consider that Wi-Fi is bad in the structure and totally absent in the tents.
This lack of basic hospitality completely undermines what could have been an extraordinary experience. Everything else about the property was wonderful, but the disorganization and lack of care ruined the trip. I sincerely hope the management reads this feedback and takes steps to improve.
P.S. To the hotel: If you had provided a reliable and organized transfer service, we would have had more time to enjoy your camp and use your other services, such as the quad rides, spa, etc. Instead, we had to waste money on private transfers, which is a lost opportunity not only for us but also for...
Read moreFood Poisoning. Do not recommend. One of us came down with food poisoning after dinner on our first night. Next morning power went out and AC went out with it. No fans available for backup when it was 38C. Staff were not helpful considering our situation, tried to charge us 25€ for late checkout when we couldn’t leave our room due to previously mentioned reasons.
No medicine available at the camp. No provision for anyone not feeling well. And no compassion for being sick.
Overall avoid this camp. It’s a shame because the location is great and beautiful but ruining a honeymoon just...
