My friend and I spent 4 wonderful nights at the Janat Al Atlas from 18th May. From the moment our airport transport entered through the gates of the resort, we felt so looked after. The Manager, Abdul, gave our party of 8, who had all arrived together from England, such a warm welcome, telling us we were 'family', giving us a guided tour of the resort and spa, introducing staff to us and personally showing everyone their suites. He stressed that this was now 'our home' for the duration of our holiday. My friend and I were delighted to be allocated the pool house suite, which was spacious and comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. I can honestly say that when we awoke the next morning, we felt we had arrived in paradise! Our front door was less than a metre away from the most gorgeous pool....(my first swim was taken at 9am!), with clear, warm water and small birds dipping down and around the edges, taking a drink! Such a memorable experience. The grounds of the resort are absolutely breathtaking - very natural and packed with mature palms, olive, fig and orange trees, roses and cacti. There is such a calming ambience and we loved hearing the variety of birdsong. We both very much enjoyed having a hammam treatment in the spa and we emerged feeling clean and invigorated. The ladies were so kind and friendly and they made us feel special and pampered. The restaurant is cool and tastefully decorated, with a fabulous outside terrace where we enjoyed afternoon drinks. Amazingly, the restaurant is open from 8am -11pm! Everything we ate was delicious, especially the buffet style breakfast, which was beautifully presented and brought to our table. Nothing is too much trouble, with extra items cooked to order and extremely generous portions. We can highly recommend the omelettes! A particular mention for our 2 waiters, Rida with his fabulous smile and incredible tea pouring skills and Morad, who were both super friendly and efficient. We were fortunate enough to be introduced to the resort owner and some of his family during our stay and we were so delighted that he kindly opened the night club for us on our last evening. We had such a fantastic time and I now have wonderful memories of dancing the night away in bare feet on an absolutely spotless floor; something you would never attempt in England! Once again, we were indeed treated like 'family'. We couldn't fail to compliment him on his staff...their friendliness and service were exemplary. We had a truly wonderful holiday. We can't rate the resort highly enough and we would return in a heartbeat! We'll hopefully be back next year and in the meantime,...

Read moreSo my first time in Marrakesh staying at Janat Al Atlas. We arrived at the location after a great tight and swiftly through immigration to be greeted by no one. The receptionist was called as we waited when she arrived she asked for my name which I gave her. She stated i did not have a booking I told here to check in and she found it - I said we’re you not expecting me to which she replied I have 2 other people to check in! She then stated that I needed to pay the tourist tax and proceeded to demand my money which I paid on my card, she then said I’ll take you to your room. I asked who was bringing my bag and she said she’s doesn’t do that and I’d need to bring it myself. She then proceeded to walk very quickly to our room I dumped the bag and she showed us around again she was walking far to quickly I told her 2 times to slow down as my mum couldn’t walk to fast due to an injury to her leg she didn’t listen. She shouted is the sauna and restaurant and left us to it. I asked to speak to the manager as she was very rude not been a hello or thank you ….. I’m still waiting to what from one, her name was Libra probably the rudest person I’ve ever met. ||Luckily her rudeness was made up by very attentive staff in the spa and restaurant. Be careful if you pay in cash as I never got my change back so was short changed for a few meals and the portion sizes are huge !!!! ||The spa is nice for some relation and the pool was ok (never used it) however there is nothing nearby you are stuck here 20 mins out do the city by yourself, no shops on site and nothing nearby. The hotel has no entertainment although the website states that it does and you can’t change your currency here so do it at the airport. ||Room was nice and big but water bottles were not provided every day had to ask at restaurant but top ups. ||Not the best place to stay needs some revamping and Lubna needs some customer...
