I run a fitness consultancy in the UK and was looking to find a suitable large villa for 11 guests in Marrakech to run fitness retreats on a regular basis. The villa would also need to be able to provide a high level of comfort as well as arrange and cater for all our meals over the 5 day period we would stay.
After a lot of research over many months, i finally found what seemed to be the perfect villa in the perfect location. Slightly outside the centre of Marrakech, but still with easy access to the Medina and also the stunning Atlas mountains, this peaceful hideaway ticked all my boxes and then went on to deliver an outstanding experience for my guests.
The first thing you notice as you enter the main house is the magnificent atrium style entrance. The furnishings are to a very high standard and there are so many small details that show the house was built and designed with a lot of love, care and attention to small details.
As you move through the downstairs area, your eyes are drawn towards the outdoor garden space and huge pool. There were lots of covered areas for shade as well as plenty of open green spaces on the meticulously well kept lawn.
I was using seven of the rooms and all were beautifully furnished and even more importantly, everything worked perfectly. The beds were incredibly comfortable too. All the rooms were made up by the house staff every day.
I had spent quite a lot of time tailoring my fitness retreat experience with the owner Khalid and his very experienced house team. They were able to help me deliver exactly what i was looking for and to a meticulously high level. They provided me with a food itinerary that was able to cater for any of my clients dietary needs including food allergies. All the meals were freshly cooked with many of the ingredients taken from the farms well sourced fruit and vegetable plantations. There was also an excellent range of dishes, all beautifully presented and served in the main dining area.
My clients were very impressed with the high levels of accommodation and food quality. I really needed this to happen as their experiences on my first fitness retreat would be crucial to my plans to roll out the fitness retreats to more of my clients and customers in the future.
I can't thank Leila Farmhouse and its wonderful and caring house team enough what was a total success for me, and i have now arranged more bookings at the house in October and December.
I would highly recommend Leila Farmhouse for yoga retreats, fitness retreats, and family holidays, they have clearly shown me that they are in the business of providing a first class experience to their guests and can deliver in heaps. Thank you so much Philip Turner The Philip Turner...

The longer story..... My grown up children and I decided to have a weeks break in Marrakesh. We did a bit of research, looked for somewhere outside the city but not to far, with a nice pool and run by locals.
We stumbled on Leila's Farmhouse and the stars must have aligned because this place is a gem. Its new - part of an Olive farm using home grown food as much as possible - aiming to be self sufficient and benefiting local people. My daughters only wanted to do 1/2 days sightseeing, spending the rest of the time by the beautiful pool. Contacting the owner for details and asking about airport transfers lead to everything being arranged. The car service they use picked us up, Youssef then gave us an historical narrative on the journey to the Farmhouse - (we arranged further days out with Youssef who has more pride and knowledge than the organized tours). On arrival the people could not have been more welcoming and helpful, we ended up having 2 to 3 excellent meals a day. When we were asked what we'd like to eat - 'can we have local dishes?', all of which were better than the restaurants we went to, bar one expensive Jazz bar. The rooms were traditional, the house kept immaculately clean - as a base this place is the best, 20 mins into Marrakesh Old town. Large screen TV for the European Championship 2024, Bluetooth connection to play music around the Villa, no-one wanted to go home. As a first visit to Marrakesh I was blown away by the culture, people, food and history - next visit to Leila's Farmhouse is being planned, with a few days in the Atlas Mountains. And we got lucky with a short storm giving the...
