Morocco Desert Camps & Desert Tours — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

We have just completed a fantastic 9-day trip in Morocco, thanks to Jouidi from Morocco Desert Camps & Desert Tours who organized our tour, and our fantastic driver and guide Jabbour, who made it happen for us.

First of all, Jouidi did an excellent job in organizing the entire trip. He was always prompt in replying to my emails, immediately modified things according to our preferences/time constraints. Every request of ours was promptly honored without extra expenses. The riads and hotels he selected for us were great, very clean, excellent customer service at each and every of them. In fact, in three of them we got the best rooms/suites available – without asking. In those riads/hotels which were not in the medinas, dinner was also included.

The price he quoted us for this 9 day tour was the most competitive of all the tour companies I had contacted, and was a very good value.

We were very lucky that Jabbour was asked to be our driver and guide. Not only he is a fantastic professional driver and guide with many many years of experience, he is also a wonderful person with an great sense of humor. In addition to making sure that we completed every activities the “Master Schedule” specified, he was very flexible when we needed some extra time, like at Volubilis, where we admired the dozens of mosaics from 1800 years ago. Jabbour always kept his car spotless clean.

In addition to the busy 9-day sightseeing, we also enjoyed the breaks from driving spent at roadside cafes, where we had a chance to get to know him well, learn from him about a wide variety of things about Morocco, Moroccan life etc. Very quickly we felt as if we had known him for a long time, and we became friends, and will for sure keep in touch with him.

Taken together, I can state that not only the planned 9 day trip sounded fantastic when I had booked it, but what we experienced when doing the tour surpassed all of our (already heightened) expectations.

For reference, my friend and I have traveled many places but this was our first trip to Morocco. We spent a few days in Marrakesh first, then we went on a day trip to Essouria with Abdou and then made our way to the Sahara Desert stopping in Dades Valley at the very cool Riad Sultan, then the breathtaking Riad Madu on the outskirts of the desert with sand dunes in the background, before making our way to the desert camp by camel which was so fantastic! All the Riad’s and the desert camp recommended by Kamal were amazing. The Sahara Desert is a must do! We rode ATVs/Quads the next morning over the sand dunes back to meet Abdou. I had an outstanding experience with Kamal Jouidi and unequivocally and whole heartedly recommend his services.

Kamal was extremely responsive prior to booking the trip with him. He answered a myriad of questions that I had patiently, professionally and with speed. He helped design the itinerary for me with the edits that I required. Out of the few companies that I communicated with, Kamal provided the best customer service. Communication was easy, reliable and fast.

The car that we got when we landed in Morocco was a Toyota Landcruiser - clean , comfortable without any issues the entire trip. The drive that we had was awesome - polite, reliable, flexible and just a nice guy. Kamal's guides that he booked for us in a few cities were very knowledgeable, fluent in English and enhanced our experience.

The hotel in the dessert that Kamal booked was outstanding. He also recommended hotels/ ryads for us.
