My friend and I have just returned from a wonderful 2 nights stay in Palais Amador... and that place is nothing short of a dream! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of serene tranquility and unparalleled hospitality. Just a short, car journey outside of Marrakesh, this charming oasis is a world away from the hustle and bustle, offering a perfect escape. Zak, Amira (and the wonderful Maria), and their entire team, including the ever-attentive Abdul, made us feel like cherished family members. The architecture is simply breathtaking, a testament to Zak's father's vision and craftsmanship. Each room is a haven of comfort, boasting luxurious beds that promise a restful night's sleep. The meticulously landscaped gardens are a feast for the senses, filled with the soothing sounds of birds and the gentle presence of roaming tortoises. It's a place where every detail has been thoughtfully considered. We ate in their restaurant both nights and had wonderful food, prepared fresh daily with the finest local produce, often sourced directly from their own gardens - each dish a showcase of the vibrant flavours of Morocco! Whilst we, personally, found it too delightful to leave the Palais grounds, they readily arrange excursions for those wishing to explore the surrounding area. When I was feeling unwell, they went above and beyond to care for me, demonstrating a level of kindness and attentiveness that is truly rare - thank you! Palais Amador is a hidden gem, a calming sanctuary where you can truly unwind and recharge. I almost hesitate to share this review, fearing it will become too popular, but Zak, Amira, and their team deserve every success. If you're seeking a truly exceptional and unforgettable experience, look no further than...
Read moreI booked to stay here last minute, because a trip I'd booked months in advance for my birthday was cancelled by the airline while I was in the airport about to board their plane.
When I arrived at Palais Amador, I was greeted warmly and given a key to my room. I told Amira about my disaster birthday trip, and she said they would try to make it better. Amira, Zac, and "Mama" (my nickname for Zac's Mum) are so professional and polite but also super kind and caring. I travelled alone and was a bit anxious as a solo Black woman but EVERYONE at Palais Amador, treated me with the utmost respect and I truly felt like family.
The property itself, is set in two hectares of beautiful countryside in Chwiter, around 30-40 minutes away from Marrakech. The grounds and buildings are meticulously maintained and scrupulously clean. All the additional staff take a lot of pride in their work and work really hard.
Other than the 9 stunning guest bedrooms, they have a games room, a gym, pool area, a boutique, a hammam spa, a terrace, indoor and outdoor dining areas and several places to relax and unwind.
The menu is reasonably priced and varied, all food is cooked fresh to order and they often use ingredients grown on the Property or surrounding area. You really can't get fresher than that! The chef even made me a birthday for free which was moist fluffy and delicious.
I had an over 2.5hr hammam spa treatment and I felt 10 years younger afterwards.
I can't say enough good things about Palais Amador, just book here, you won't be disappointed.
Thank you so much; Amira, Zac, Mama, Adam, Chef, the hammam/massage therapist, (sorry I forgot her name) and all the cleaning and maintenance staff. I had an amazing Birthday holiday and I'll see...
Read more4 star Hotel, 5 star service. First off, best hotel welcome ever. N I've been around... I wanted a relaxing holiday & that's exactly what I got. Incredibly tranquil, Fresh clean air, birds chirping, tortoises in the garden, peaceful, bird cage poolside bar. Amazing surroundings, beautiful humongous garden.
Aunty's Marie's (yep I'm family now) decor is amazing, the paintings, chairs, sofa, and little details are to perfection.
Staff are amazing. Special thanks to Hamza for his service and Abdulah the driver they were incredibly friendly and amazing.
Every meal and juice is freshly squeezed and fruit and vegetables from the garden & farm. Had breakfast and dinner here. There is a driver on hand to take you out (for a price ofcos) Spa & Gym facilities. Suitable for all couples or big family
The house/Hotel is quite echoey so those of you with loud ones :) (you're warned, breakfast with other guests could be awkward)
P. S. It's also in the middle of no where (which is good and bad) so it's great to go into town for the hustle n come back to peace and quiet.
Taxis are expensive so the Hotel provides you a driver to town n back for a fee. Only thing I didn't like is even if you share the car with others you still pay full price I felt that was a bit unfair.
The things I didn't like
WiFi reception is bad (my advice buy a local Sim card) 40 Dinas lasted me a week of data
No English channels on TV. French only. I struggled with that, especially for days I wanted to lie in.
Will I go here again? Absolutely and...
