Palais Menzah & Spa — Hotel in Marrakesh Prefecture

The hotel building itself is beautiful (although the indoor decor is not as nice as the photos) and is surrounded by olive trees on the property. It's peaceful and the pool is amazing! However, we were not very satisfied with our stay overall. The water did not turn on in our room from the sink or the shower (we had to ask for it to be turned on), the water did not get hot, and there were no outlets to plug in the bedside lamps. It's important to note that the location is very far from anything - there are no shops or restaurants nearby, which meant we needed to rely on the hotel for food/drinks. Unfortunately, the hotel had a very limited menu. Before we ordered, we were told that about half the items (marked with an X next to them) were unavailable. When we ordered, we found out that most of the other choices were also unavailable. There were no vegetarian options on the menu and no fruit. The food was very expensive! Most hotels provide complimentary water bottles for drinking, but there were none and there is nowhere nearby to purchase water. It's also worth mentioning that as my husband and I checked into the hotel, they told us that we would not be allowed to stay without even asking if we were married (there was an automatic assumption that we were not). We were initially told we can have a late check out at 13:00 but at 11:00 we were told we needed to check out at 12:00. Overall, the experience here was okay...

Staff were incredible! Thank you for always trying very hard to make our stay the best possible. The food was incredible. We loved it all! The pool is lovely. The rooms were comfortable and neat. We enjoyed a run and it has very peaceful surroundings.

There were some cons worth mentioning though that I really hope they sort out.

They had no drinks available for two dinners (coke, tonics etc), the water didn't come out the shower on one evening (it was sorted in about 10min but was a little awkward), the toilet cistern wouldn't stop running and there are a lot of fixtures/finishing touches that haven't been completed/installed.

Palais Menzah was a beautiful, peaceful escape, with spacious rooms, stunning decor, and so comfy. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived.
