A Holiday from Hell – Stay Away if You Value Sleep and Peace

We chose this property specifically because of its clear policy on Booking.com: no parties or events allowed, no hen or stag dos, and quiet hours between 00:00 and 07:00. As a family travelling with a 3-month-old baby, this seemed like the perfect place for a peaceful stay.

The first night was fine—apart from the WiFi being virtually unusable.

The second night, however, was a complete nightmare. At 1:15 AM, the room next to ours turned into a nightclub. We’re talking singers, dancers, loud music, shouting, and at least 35 people crammed into the space. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it would die down shortly. It didn’t. In fact, it got louder and trashier by the minute.

I spoke to a man who appeared to be the manager—Hicham—who told me they didn’t know about the party and that the guests had promised it would end by 9 PM. He assured me he would “take care of it.” But three hours later, the noise continued, if not worse. I spoke to him three separate times, and all I got was, “I can’t do anything.” He even claimed he wasn’t aware of their own policy, despite me showing him a screenshot.

What made it worse is that our baby couldn’t sleep at all. He was visibly distressed and agitated from the noise, and it became an exhausting and upsetting night for both me and my wife. All staff repeated the same empty promise: “Don’t worry, we will fix it.”

Eventually—four hours later—they cut the electricity to the room hosting the party. Only then did the chaos stop.

This experience ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. The complete disregard for their own rules, the poor management, and the absolute nightmare of having to deal with this while caring for a baby made this an experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Avoid this place at all costs if you’re looking for peace, safety, or even basic...

It is all good with this place in terms of amenities, cleanliness, and hospitality.

However, the location is not good if you're planning to leave the place. In order to get a taxi you need to walk about 1km and get charged 150 to 200 to get to town. Forget about taking a bus. Same story when you want to come back. It means you should add about 30€ more/day to your budget. Restaurants and shops are not that close, but the hotel staff can pick up and bring whatever you need for...

A marrakech c'était juste invivable.

NEE!!
