Too many flies.
We had the room 143 and the room next to us was a room in construction (cf. Picture). In the middle of the afternoon one guy came and hammered the walls of the room right next to us, till evening (check picture). And same the morning after. Very annoying and so not professional. A couple of rooms are being constructed. THE HOTEL SHOULD NOT OFFER FOR BOOKING ROOMS WHICH ARE NEXT TO ROOMS CONSTRUCTION SITE. IT IS A SHAME GUYS :'(
We had the standard double room. The Room is frankly quite small. What is annoying is that there is no wall splitting the room from the toilets...
The breakfast food is fairly average, nothing exceptional... (check picture)
The pool is of a good size but water of the pool can get very dirty, especially when there is only a bit of wind. i believe nobody here wants to grab an otitis during its holidays.
The hotel being located inside the cinema studio area (one of the very touristy spot in Ouarzazate), there is a constant huge flow of tourists checking the hotel, entering the pool area (as it is near the reception area) and taking selfies etc.. . This is extremely bad. That made me feel very uncomfortable.
Please avoid this hotel at all cost. It is too pricy for the quality of the goods and services offered. You can get better for your money. Thats by far the worst hotel I have been to after 4 weeks...
Read moreAlong with its restaurants, this 4* hotel has a nice outdoor pool and a bar/lounge to relax and spend a good time, specially in summer. Additionally, a rooftop terrace is onsite where a beautiful view of the pool and the distant mountains can be enjoyed. As there is not a dedicated page on Google Maps to the hotel's restaurant/bar, called "Wall of Fame", I'm sharing my experience in here.
The new drinks menu proposes delicious cocktails (not always available, you need to ask the barman first) and a large variety of wines and liquors. The food is ok : I have tried few dishes and some of them were really good while others were tasteless. I personally like the Budha Ball (quinoa, pesto, avocado..healthy and fresh ingredients) and the Tzatziki Chicken Skewers (nourishing and tasty) and also the Penne Pasta Poulet (good portion with taste). The selection of Moroccan salads is also good. I won't recommend the Oscar Burger (it was very dry with gorpy fries and when I asked for extra sauce, it wasn't good), neither the Avocado Zaatar Toasty (an overpriced simple slice of bread with mashed avocado). The barmen are professional yet friendly and efficace. Free WiFi in public area and free parking are also a plus.
Finally, what I like most about this place is the quiet and the serenity...
Read moreOh dear. It was okay for one night- the staff was really friendly and helpful and the room was cold despite the warm blowing AC, but what should you do in December in Morocco...
As cool as the fact is that a lot of film crews slept there as they did a lot of famous movies in the desert studios around the hotel, the film themed look comes really cheap. These weird comic styled faces of actors an actresses, all these slogans on the walls, the "international" dinner menu with random burger and pasta stuff (sorry, all this didn't have any taste, nor the soup or the pizza or vegetables). The tables around us obviously also had a hard time with that "a la cart dinner". High prices also, for really bad food quality. What is happening in that kitchen that everything tastes like nothing? Breakfast buffet was, lets say "okay" for a international styled hotel in Morocco.
AND: the hotel tries hard to be the cool international film themed thing in Morocco BUT: NO international TV channels in the rooms sat tv??? Nothing but Arabian channels. And I tried a lot with finding sat frequencies- nothing. Not at least one English film channel or something, very disappointing. Wifi signal was very low everywhere.
Sorry guys, you can do...
