Kanbawza Hinthar — Hotel in Bago District

No offence to previous visitors who gave very good reviews. I have different perspective from them.

1. Dear stance car owners. Assess road is so bad. No no place to visit for stance car lovers.
2. Hotel staffs will tell you to park at the parking lot. But they will not bother if you park your car in front of your room either.
3. Heater is not good. Once the tub is full, your heated water is cold already.
4. You may find fire extinguishers with no issued date and inspection date. YOLO
5. Day 1 breakfast, waiter says "kitchen cannot provide omelet" Day 2 breakfast, "oh wait, we can serve omelet "
6. If there is a group of people dining in the restaurant, they might take 30 mins for a cup of Cappuccino.
7. AC unit in my room have no swing mode. Just “O” and “—“ .
8. BYOT at night. Recommended to "Bring Your Own Touch light!"
9. Their towels are stink. I asked reception for a new one but still their towels are old and stinky.

After wandering around the neighborhood, I realized this hotel is better decorated and cleaner than other motels and guest houses around. I only experienced negative side of the hotel. My fault to expect a lot from a 3-star hotel. Anyway, keep on...

I stayed in this hotel 2 nights. Pro:

1. The restaurant serves varieties of food for lunch and dinner. Thai, Western, Chinese, local and seafood. Quite delicious for what I ordered. 2)The room is comfortable.
2. The staff were friendly.
3. Some waiters in the restaurant can speak very basic English.
4. The hotel provides taxi services. MMK 10,000 to nearby location per trip. USD 35 to airport per trip.

6. The table area in the room is not bright enough for working or using laptop.
7. One (body length 3cm) spider was found in the room.
8. Many mosquito were in the room.
9. The hotel accepts credit card (visa or MasterCard). However, you need to pay 3% bank charge.
10. The window curtains can't block day time brightness. When sun rises, I could easily feel it. My sleep was disturbed.
11. The buffet breakfast is simple and few varieties only. Local food, bread, banana and watermelon, ...
12. Wifi signal was not stable. Sometimes good. Sometimes average. Sometimes poor. Sometimes...

Honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly and they went above and beyond in every way. We checked out and they allowed us to keep our luggage there for free as we were getting a bus out of bago later that day and when we got back we were soaked from rain. They allowed us to use one of the rooms to get cleaned up and then even dryed our clothes for us for no charge. Room was great, very clean and comfortable and nice amenities such as hair dryer and coffee. Food was the best we have had in Myanmar and very reasonable prices with a yummy included breakfast.
