We really enjoyed our stay at the Hpa-an breeze hotel . The staff made a plan to let us check in a little early. And they do have some English speaking staff members which was a big help. They couldn’t do enough to help us. When someone couldn’t understand us they made a plan to call an English speaking g member of staff. ||There are individual accomodation units dotted around the grounds . The rooms are really simple, but clean and spacious.( see video) . The beds are comfy. The pool area was shaded ( something less common than one would imagine in the heat of SE Asia). There were tables and chairs at the pool and in the evenings the bar opened up next to the pool. ||We went out for dinner on the first night and were pleasantly surprised to come back to a lovely setting in the garden. Folk were having dinner outside and the chef was doing kebabs at the BBQ. There were also a few guys getting up to sing. Seems like they have an open mic set up happening. ( see video of outside area at night). ||The hotel is slightly out of the main Hpa-an town area. To be honest we were here over low season and it was very hot and we were very grateful to be out of the dry dusty CBD are and have a POOL ZAR a reasonable price. ||We originally came in from Yangon on the VIP bus and used a local taxi driver to take us to the hotel and drop off our luggage and take us to the Soe Brothers in town. We then hired scooters from the Soe Brothers and then used them for the 3 days before dropping them off on the last evening at 5pm, re-meeting our taxi driver and having him take us to the bat cave for sunset and then back to the hotel. ||It really worked for us having the flexibility of the scooters. But you could just as easily arrange day trips with the taxi driver or a Turk til driver. The hotel didn’t do a pick|Up but was happy to drop us back at the bus for our departure. It’s really not expensive. We can recommend our taxi driver - he also spoke reasonable English. ||There is a little stall opposite the hotel from which we bought snacks and cooldrinks. There are also fruit stalls just a bit up the road. But the hotel has an extensive menu and dinner on the final night was EXCEPTIONALLY good. We were here during low season so the buffet was not on offer for breakfast. There was a section of 4 options. It wasn’t the highlight, but again staff went out of their way to make us comfortable in the garden. ||We noticed comments on previous reviews about the jacuzzi section of the pool not working - this has been fixed. ||We also saw comments about the internet connection. Myanmar does have frequent electricity outages - and when this happens there is no WiFi. As a result the WiFi was intermittent at times and coincides with electricity outages. The hotel has a backup generator- but obviously signal drops during the change over period. For the rest of the time WiFi varied between OK to Fantastic. ||The hotel made our onward bus bookings for us and arranged our laundry to be done ( itemized pricing unfortunately) but we couldn’t find anyone local who charged by the KG. ||All in all this was one of the best value stays we have had in SE Asia in 5 months of Travelling. It’s budget - but we felt really...
Read moreNewly open hotel but inside decoration and room conditions are just so so. I paid 45USD/night. I don’t feel like compared to room condition and location, room price is way expensive. Tips!! There is Bristo with unplugged just beside hotel, they have swimming pool, close to hpa-an golf club and on the hpa-an hlaing-bwe road. Breakfast, very cold fried rice, fried noodles,etc.. only 4 choices. Staffs are not well trained!! We have to carry our luggages ourselves, house keeping and gardeners saw but, not helping. There is no telephone in the room so, we can’t inform the reception to pick up our luggages. The worst hotel i ever stayed. There are a lots of hotels in Hpa-an with cheaper price and more convenience. I regret staying there...
Read moreThe hotel is very nice and comfortable.||It is a bit off the city but we rented a motorbike to get to know the area anyways, so it was ok.||Our room was spacious and well equipped. Fridge, air-con, big comfy bed, coffee, tea, tv... and private bathroom.||There is no wifi connection, that’s something to improve.||The staff are really nice and helpful, they helped us book bus tickets and offered a free ride to the bus station.||Breakfast is served by the pool which...
