Hotel GBH Kale — Hotel in Kale District

This is a newly-opened hotel. It was clean, safe, comfortable, and had an ample breakfast buffet. Service was excellent. I would recommend it for anyone staying in this area. ||||We had a breakfast meeting with about 30 other people one morning. The hotel furnished a meeting room adjacent to the breakfast area, which facilitated our going through the buffet line and returning to our seats and enjoying our food during our meeting. ||||The Wi-Fi was did not work very well for us, which could be an issue for those needing it.||||If paying in U.S. dollars, it is best to be prepared with exact change if possible. This place deserves a 3.5 - 4 star rating, as it has some great features: very nice and helpful staff, clean rooms with basic toiletries available, free green tea in the rooms and possibility to pay by credit card (adding 2-3% surcharge) and hot water that comes after 10 minutes or so. But there are also things to improve, like balancing the room rate better (local pays 28000 MMK, while a foreigner pays 28 USD, which is 1.5 times more) and adding more vegetarian options in the menu besides seaweed salad and an egg. We stayed there for 5 days in Feb 2019. We arrived at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised at the great service we received. Friendly staff at the doors, parking and at main reception desk. They spoke good english and assisted us with our small requests.The restaurant had variety on the menu, however breakfast was just eggs and toasts daily. Its fully asian breakfast make it hard for westerners as there is not much for us to choose from.
