The staff here were very helpful and extremely kind! The room was decent and veery clean. Breakfast was a bit random (sandwich with some chicken thing and fries) but on the second day we asked beforehand for eggs, toast and fruit which was much better. ||The only other people staying at the hotel where a French couple. It was lucky we bumped into them so we could share a guide for the next day (the hotel helped us with this). The guide originally said the cost would be 55 000 Kyat for the day (including the car, he was also the driver). When he realised we would be 4 people he raised it to 70 000 Kyat, but we managed to settle for 60000 Kyat. His English was ok and he was a nice man. The highlight was stopping at a wedding on our way to the village and being treated as the highlight of the day - it was so funny! We were given an awesome meal and met the happy couple. The village was pretty cool - quite touristie with some souvenir stalls, but it was nice to go into some homes and chat to the people living in the village. Our guide didn't really speak their language but with a mixture of their language plus Burmese we managed to communicate a bit. We had brought some candy for the kids and cooking oil and washing powder for the adults which they seemed to appreciate. All in all a nice enough experience, but we thought it's maybe more of an experience if you go to the smaller villages and your lucky enough to arrive one a day when there's some...
Read moreIt was a cozy place, you will see traditional stuff around this motel, they have free bike to use but since I have stomach problem we were not able to use them. They also have thanaka just outside the reception you can use. Then the room is huge. However, the water from the hot shower smells like rotten egg/ sulfur. But only for a few minutes it'll be gone. They serve buffet breakfast which is mostly local. I didnt have a picture of their traditional kayan food wrapped in green leaf. But you should try it! It was really good! Staff speak less english. They were helpful, we want to go to clinic, they male staff assisted us but it was closed. This place is near the famous pagoda, Korean restaurant and Traditional Burmese restaurant. Just ask the staff. Also, you will see young female monks in the morning passing the...
