Nan Htike Thu — Hotel in Magway District

The hotel is fairly big. The first thing I noticed was the decoration that is used to resemble the tradition of Myanmar, it's very unique and beautiful.The staff were very friendly towards me and my family. When I entered my room, I noticed that the bed was very big, and the warm lighting made it even better. The bathroom is very clean! I love how they put cup noodles for the visitors to eat if they're hungry. The pool is big but however, the water is very very cold. I could only swim for 10 minutes. The food options for the buffet is okay, but I don't think is hould be judging that as I am a picky eater. Overall, I really like the decoration and the rooms. We arrived at Nan Htike Thu Hotel by chance because we had to spend the day in Magway before leaving for Mrauk-u and were interested in the very large and clean swimming pool!

The reception was more than warm, San May and her husband are just incredibly nice and reflect the best Myanmar hospitality. Finally we did not use the swimming pool because of the weather but we spent one of the best day in Myanmar between natural geological magic (Nga Ka Pwe Taung), amazing local food, and friendly chat! They provided us with a -very clean and with all the equipments needed- room looking at the swimming pool and the garden. What to say, hospitality like a family-owned hotel and services as a 4 starts hotel. We recommend the place very much, and we really hope to come back soon!

I spent one night at Nan Htike Thu in October 2016 and would have been happy to stay longer! The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious, but the highlight for me was the helpfulness and generosity of the staff. They were happy to answer any questions I had (no matter how unusual); they arranged transport for me within Magway and reserved a bus ticket to Yangon; they exchanged my USD for kyat and, finally, they offered me a complimentary room in which to rest after I had checked out.
