This hotel is one of very few choices in the area so it might well be one of the best. It was a decent place for us to spend one night. ||||Our group all had weird walls in their rooms that had a plastic, saran-wrap-like covering over fabric walls that reminded me of an office cubicle that you could stick push pins in. The plastic was all ripped off in some areas and the walls were quite dirty with thick layers of dirt/dust on the wooden moldings. Neither our heat or a/c worked. It was chilly at night and in the morning and we definitely could've used some heat.||||The bathroom had an uncontained shower in the corner so it was unavoidable to get the whole room wet no matter how careful you were. Make sure to hide the toilet paper when showering! There are also no outlets in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror if you need it for shaving or hair styling. ||||The wifi was good and I had no problems connecting to it. The breakfast buffet was just ok. Not the best and not the worst. It had enough to satisfy us but not much selection. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was good and reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly. ||||I think this place is fine for a night or two. Again, I don't think there are many hotels to choose from in the area so this might very well be the best...

I recently stayed at Hotel Shwe Nan Htike and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The smart card door lock system consistently failed to open the door, leaving me stranded outside in the sweltering heat after returning from outings. Despite the efforts of the key master, the issue persisted, making it incredibly frustrating to access my room.
When I requested a room change due to the ongoing noise from this inconsistent door lock failing, I was informed that all rooms were fully booked. It's baffling how a supposedly large hotel could be completely occupied, leaving no option for a guest in need of a quieter environment.
Overall, my stay at Hotel Shwe Nan Htike was marred by technical failures, noise disturbances, and poor customer service. I am deeply disappointed and doubt I will return for another stay...
Read moreHi there,|I am not sure why (maybe change of hotel owner?) but our recent experience is entirely different than what is described below.|Although the place is only 3 years old, it is completely run down. Rooms are smelly, carpet in room is dirty and the whole hotel lacks atmosphere. The breakfast is not acceptable. No passion in preparing even a basic breakfast (dirty knife in knife basket, all hot dishes completely cold). Staff has been a disappointment as well. Not helpful is arranging transportation or if at all at outraging prices. On day 2 WiFi did not work. If you can, please reconsider choosing this place. The other feedbacks are 2 years old and something significant must have...
